HAMPTON PROD Keeper - 6 AWG Trailer Wiring Kit - 25’ and 6’ with Quick Connect for KT and KU Winches

I just purchased a second set of these and could not be happier. First set was to make a set of extension cables to go from the power plug I installed on my truck to the winch on the trailer. I needed the length since I have the winch setup on a receiver mount and have installed a receiver plate on the front of all my trailers, one is a box trailer. This gave me the length to go from the truck through the side door and into the front of the box trailer. I wrapped them in some 1" split loom and they work great.I did a lot of research first since typically it's cheaper to buy a roll of wire and ends and make cable sets yourself, not so here. 6ga primary wire is not easy to find, and not cheap, add the ends in and it got to be too much for my purposes.It comes with a long and short set with a QD on one end and 3/8" eyelets on the other for both cables. The short end ended up in my toolbox, but I can certainly see needing it at some point.The second set I bought to wire another truck, and since this one is long (crew cab, long bed), I needed more cable. I wire up the setup through a continuous duty solenoid controlled by a switch in the cab (that can only be powered with the truck on so as to not kill the battery accidentally) so the power is not on all the time, just what I do, not necessary. For this truck, I am also using the short lead since it has a brush guard with a 2" receiver integrated into it. I can just slap the winch into the receiver should I have a need, and since the kit comes with the extra cable, it's basically free, otherwise I would not go to the trouble.Anyway, this worked really well and was very reasonable since it was basically the correct length of wiring for what I needed and included the QD ends (it comes with 2 additional ends and terminals should you need them).If you have more than about a 3-4k winch, you need a larger cable set. This is for the ATV size winches, so watch your current loads, it's rated for 50 Amps, but even the small winches can draw more than that at full load.

Great kit for providing power to smaller (4000-5000 pound) rear-mounted or trailer mounted winches at a really great price. Solid, robust connectors and comes with cables and connectors for both the vehicle and the winch. Bought three of these for installations on F-150, Silverado, and Jeep Wrangler. Allows one winch to be used for any of the three trailers and three vehicles I've put them on. My buddies have the same rigs on their vehicles, so all our winches and trailers can be easily interchanged for whatever our needs might be at any given time. Cable is heavy duty but flexible, which makes it easy to work through the framing during installation.

Very nice, connectors look durable and cable is nice and flexible. Description is a little off. It comes with 25' each black and red with a connector built on plus a second 5' red and black with a connector attached. Eyes are soldered on opposite ends to attach to winch and battery.

Bought this harness for the Harbor Freight 12,000 lb BadlNds winch. When I received the package it did no come with the extra connections for the cable. With that being said, the description/details did not put the capacity of the harness. This is much too small for a winch that big and I will have to return it.

Works as expected, had to crawl around under my truck for 1/2 an hour routing the wires, but I expected that. The rubber caps on the quick connect system are tight and don't slip off - I have some other quick connects that are too loose, so I really like these.

Excellent winch conector two 25' leads and a short 24" both with quick conector very well made worth the money.Other reviews not true, however, have to have some electrical experience.. Pice of cake, lol.

Thought it was just the one cable, but once I got it there was the other cable with it too the winch so don’t bother having to order other parts for that.

Just came today. This is prefect for rigging my trailer winch. One set of 25' cables and one set 2' cables to hook to the battery. It comes with quick connect ends, on each set of cables. Very pleased with this product
