Excellent Gothic style lantern
This lamp is exactly what I was looking for. I've fitted a 6w vintage amber bulb which lights a fair bit of the garden with a pleasing warm glow. It was easy to fit and seems well made(it won't rust as it's aluminium). Very happy with it!

This is NOT an outdoor light
The description of this product is untruthful. It is claimed to be a waterproof light for outdoors, but is not. In the view of the professional electrician who came to fit it, it would not be safe or reliable outdoors.

Very difficult to assemble
I bought two of these lights due to the gothic look and the good reviews. I waited nearly two weeks for them to arrive. The lights have a tight bend in the stem (part of the Gothic look). While they come with a metal wire through the stem, the customer has to try to get the actual electrical cables through the bend in the stem by attaching the installed metal cable to the electric wires (by whatever means at your disposal) and then pull the electric wires through the bend.I am pretty good with my hands and have a lot of tools. It took me two hours to assemble the first light and I was unable to get the second light assembled as the tube/whole in the stem is so badly made the wire would not pass through it.The electrician is coming in the morning to fit these lights, perhaps he will have some magic trick to get this sorted. Other than that, the badly made one is going back to wherever it came from. You assemble every screw, every part and fit the cables. I don't remember reading that in the description. Generally, I don't mind, but there aught to be at least a reasonable chance of it actually working.
