Waterproof iPhone 5c Case, Easylife™ Waterproof Dirtproof Snowproof Shockproof Skin Hard Phone Shell with Rugged Protection for Apple iPhone 5c (Black)

Updating this review. I purchased this case about a month ago and it works very well as advertised. It is a nice, compact case that protects my phone better than the last one I had and is waterproof so long as all the plugs are available (but read on). I also really like the carrying strap that loops into the corner; since I've had this case I have not dropped my phone because I can easily loop it to my wrist. That makes me feel much more secure when using the camera. It is also far less expensive than other waterproof cases. It has two problems, however. First, as others have commented, the port for the headphone jack may be used only if you screw in the extension, which leaves you with a 3-inch extension perpetually hanging off the end of your phone if you want to use your phone to listen to music. Second, to remain waterproof, the phone requires a rubber plug to seal off the headphone and charger ports. That plug kept falling off, and sure enough, I was going through airport security and didn't notice it had pulled off. It's gone and my phone is no longer waterproof. I initially gave it 1 star for these issues.I am updating to give it 3 stars pending receipt of a fix to the lost plug. A customer service representative of the company contacted me and has been very helpful both in seeking input and in helping to find a solution. I told him that, because of the value overall, I would be willing to put up with the annoyances if replacement plugs were readily available and even provided with new cases. I also suggested that the company make available extra headphone pigtails--the problem with the latter is that a person doesn't want to leave it on all the time but often wants to plug in and finds the pigtail is in another bag, or left in the car or on the desk at home or at work. Other waterproof phones are set up the same way, however, so it would even be an advantage to this company if they would make the threaded port a few millimeters larger so it would accept connectors without the pigtail for everyday use (btw, the o-ring on the jack that provides the waterproof seal also goes missing easily).So, bottom line, not perfect, but still a good value if replacement plugs are made available.

Buying this case was a no brainer. For what I'd have to pay in insurance on an iPhone 5c ( my youngest daughters phone) would be insane. I have bought these cases before and never have a problem. All my old iPhones look as new as the day they were purchased and have sold for almost as much too so the 1st case paid for everything that came after! It's a great case for a really inexpensive cost and it arrives before my credit card has a chance to settle back into the Apple pay app! It's a winner for cost, reliability, style, shipping speed, ease of use and receives a star for each!!!!!

Overall decent product. After less than a year, the rubber seal on my lifeproof case tore on the silence rocket switch. I really didn't want to drop another $70 on a phone that has less than a year left on it's contract. I don't take my phone scuba diving, I just don't want to panic when it's near water. Overall this product is pretty nice. Thinner plastic makes it less bulky than the lifeproof. The screen is actually more responsive than the thick lifeproof sticker. Rocker switch is a tiny plastic switch rather than a rubber seal, I like that. You have to push the stop button pretty hard, and it takes some getting used too. Also there is this tiny little rubber o shaped ring that fell out when I put my headphones in the first time, not sure what that's all about. Nothing in the manual about it. The speaker ports are okay, but not perfect. Survived the water test just fine. I'd say this is a decent product if you need a back up for your lifeproof while waiting for a price drop. ;)

I bought this case about 3 weeks ago and for the most part I'm happy with it. The screen is clear and easy to use still. Power and volume buttons all work well through the case, but the switch for silencing the phone doesn't work. I found this out the hard way missing a few phone calls and had to take the case off, switch the sound on, then carefully put the case back on without switching it back to silent. When I want to silence the phone I just turn the volume all the way down. One other issue I have is that my Amazon iPhone charger doesn't plug in through this case, so I have to use standard iPhone charger. Annoying, but how would they know I was going to buy a 3rd party charger? Can't really fault them for that.Aside from those 2 work around stage case works well. I have submerged it completely and no signs of leakage. For that reason I'm keeping the case and continuing to use it to protect my phone.

First off it arrived 3 days earlier than expect and I'm happy with that,but I'm not so sure about the case I was testing it in the water without my phone inside and it was soaked on the inside.I'm hoping I just Didn't snap it down right so I am trying it again and so far it holding out.

We really liked the look, quality, and feel of this case. Fit perfectly, but like other reviewers, we could not get the silencer button to work. We googled how to fix it and we tried every which way, but still couldn't get it to work. Had to return. In all fairness, it could have been a stripped screw in the switch that goes over the silencer button on the phone. I did not order another one, so I don't know for sure. Too bad, because if it wasn't for that we would have been very happy with it.

This case seems solid and fits very well. It does not weigh you down. I haven't tested it for the waterproof feature as yet. I hope it does what it advertises.

Protected phone well, but it does interfere with touch screen and a lot of people couldn't hear me during phone call. It is not ideal for listening to music especially if your trying to charge it. Also taking off the case to listen to music if you for get your plug in stretches the case and makes it hard to put back on.
