If you have thick, curly, long hair, or your kids do, think 3a-3C, or you have locs, this will change your shampoo efficiency. Shampooing the hair only gets you so far. You have to be able to clean your scalp. Kids are impatient so being able to be quick and not "scratching me" is important because the last please, at least I, want a power struggle with a child is in the tub after an already long day.I have mature locs. I would not recommend this is you're just starting your loc journey but if your locs are mature, this is a game changer for scalp hygiene. And you'll see it if you lay on the tub to wash your hair like I do. The first time will probably be absolutely disgusting if you normally maintain your own locs because it's just really hard to get to all the scalp. This is a game changer.

Perhaps I have a sensitive head. But I noticed that some of the other reviewers also had a problem with the massager! So it’s not just me. While I was showering I noticed that there were some places on my tub that needed a scrub. It did wonders on my tub!! And I didn’t even need any comet!!! I was laughing the whole time as I repurposed my head massager!! I’m going to try it on some art work too!! It might make for some interesting textural effects on a canvas!! It might even be a good back scratcher!! Who knows?

The media could not be loaded. I thought this would be a waste of money. I’m happy to say I was very wrong! This brush is so comfortable on dry or damp hair (see my video) to work the conditioning products in. And, in my case, Rogaine. In other reviews, plucking one or two bristles with your finger DOES make it sound loud and expect it to be uncomfortable. But, they aren’t demonstrating it in use.When used for its intended purpose, all bristles touch your scalp. It’s like the difference between stepping on a small rock in an otherwise flat space (ouch!) and walking a pebbled beach. The force is distributed throughout your scalp.Similarly, if you pluck a bristle or two with your fingers, it sounds loud. Again, when you’re using it, there is no particular noise. The bristles are perfectly firm, not too firm or too wimpy.Bonus: it helps relieve tension headaches!The product is well-made for its purpose and price. However, (1) I wouldn’t call it “portable”, as in compact for traveling with a suitcase. Also, (2) I thought the little wimpy string should have either been more robust or, better yet, omitted altogether. It made the product seem cheaper quality than it seems to be.

Cute massaging brush, as described. My daughter's have dandruff issues so washed they hair with shampoo and this to loosing up the flakes which it did and they said it felt good to their scalp. Good additions to your wash routine and I can use it as a coil brush to define curls ( i have short TWA). Overall happy with this purchase!

I like the scalp massager. I discovered by accident that it's the perfect size to also stop up the tub. So I keep it in the bathtub at all times. If it's upside down with a purple pointing down then you can use it as a strainer so that things like travel lids don't go down the drain. If the purple side is up, the black handle is the perfect size to stop up the drain to take a bath. I know that's not what it's meant for but nice side benefit.

The handle broke off almost immediately. For the very brief time it worked it was fine.
