This light was awesome with strong clamp but the lights themselves got dim ane eventually died and never achieved max brightness again after 2 years.

I have to agree with some other reviews...the "color" of the light is very nice. Just like sunlight. That corner of my bedroom normally gets about 2 hours of direct natural sunlight per day, hence the need for supplemental light. And with this fixture in place it looks as if somehow, magically, there is natural light there for 12 hours a day! I have not used it long enough to have any opinion on it's effect on plant growth.The little booklet that came with the light is pretty funny...it says very little of any use. Certainly no directions. Just pointing out the benefits of using this light...that I have already purchased, and fully intend to use. The booklet manages to say very little that is useful...in five different languages. Thanks, I guess?On the subject of directions...there are none. But methodically poking the buttons will eventually show you what you need to know. The biggest downside to this light is that whatever amount of time you set it for (3 hours, 6 hours, or 12 hours) will result in the related indicator light flashing blue....forever. It is not too visible by day, but it will confuse airplanes flying over your house at night. Bright. Really bright. Flash, flash, flash. I covered it with electrical tape the first night, which dimmed it, but not enough. I have now wrapped it with several layers of fabric, and more tape, and will maybe get some sleep tonight. Who ever decided that a bright, perpetual, flashing light was necessary on this fixture needs to reconsider his/her area of employment.

I'd hoped these came with replaceable lamps like some of them do, but I didn't look close enough at the description. Oh well!! Perfectly fine for my plants, makes such a difference in the dark winter.

The clip has a protectant over the metal so it doesn’t scratch up surfaces. Brightness and timer are great. The flexibility of the bulbs is my favorite part about this product.

I've had this light for 3 years, and for most of that time it's been in the same place, turned on for 12 hours a day. It provides enough light to supplement a west-facing window for my indoor, shade-tolerant plants. (I would not expect this light to be enough for a plant that needs bright sunlight.) However, today the light just stopped working; it won't turn on. Yes, this item is cheap, and I don't expect it to last forever. But 3 years isn't very long for this to turn into electronic waste that I have to find a way to dispose of. This is the second cheap grow light I've had that's done this (the other one died after even less time), so I don't think I'll be buying another. I need a light that will outlive my plants!

I will have to slowly turn up each light over a few weeks because they are so much brighter than what I am replacing. It is exactly what I was looking for to help with some of my succulents stretching and hopefully stressing them into wonderful colors.

After a year power button after minimal use ends up braking. Hate to leave the review but was only happy for about a year.(Great customer service, sent out new light, both the plants and I are happy!)
