Barbie Beach Summer Doll

This doll is perfect to accompany the clothes I got for my granddaughter for Christmas. No frills just a simple Barbie doll which is what I was looking for. Barbie Beach Summer Doll

This doll is really pretty. However, there is something wrong with the hair. It is sticky, almost like the material it is made from never set up. I washed, and washed, and washed it, as well as conditioned it with each wash. Still sticky, but now it is clumpy looking. Even with brushing it just stays in sections. I have lots of Barbies, and various other dolls, and never experienced this. I will keep her, and maybe try rerooting her with different hair, like I have seen others do.

Actually I bought two of these my grand daughter is thrilled. I added a few outfits also purchased through Amazon. This makes for one very happy grand daughter. Also, found Ken at a good price at Amazon and added him to the group.

The doll itself is fine but the hair is oily and sticky. Do not buy!!

Cute doll. I actually like that you can't take off the bathing suit, but that's my preference. One thing that is weird is the hair.. it's like they put Vaseline in it. It's greasy. I've used shampoo with hot water and even rubbing alcohol to try and clean it and nothing's getting it out. Hope it's not toxic b/c we're using it as a bath toy.

I bought this Summer doll to go with the Barbie pool I got my daughter for her birthday and she really likes her. She measures about 12" tall and is made of hollow plastic because she can be placed in water. I like that her makeup is tastefully done and not trashy looking like so many dolls on the market today; she's just wearing light pink lipstick and eyeshadow. Her orange floral bathing suit is really pretty and I really like that her swimsuit is painted on her because it's one less piece of clothing for my daughter to lose and you can easily put other Barbie dresses and clothes over it. I'm disappointed that you can't bend her arms and legs and can only move them up and down at the shoulder and hip. She can still sit though. Also, her hair feels greasy and cheap right out of the box and after getting wet a few times like all the other Water Barbies in this line, her hair becomes really frizzy and tough to brush. Overall, for the $5 price tag, she's a solidly built doll who goes perfect with a Barbie pool or even in the bathtub, as well as everyday play.

I love the concept of water Barbies, we spend a lot of time in the pool and Barbie entertained my granddaughter for quite some time.
