DEWALTDCR011-xj Bluetooth® Speaker 10.8-54V Li-ion Bare Unit, Yellow

I bought this to entertain me whilst doing a garden project, as I wanted something that was sturdy enough for use in the garden while I worked that's compatible with the rest of my 18v batteries.Straight out of the box, I switched on the unit and did the usual bloke thing of not reading the instructions. I plugged in a 1.5ah battery, as a test to see how long it would last, and switched the speaker on. Easily found it in the available devices list on my phone and it connected straight away so setup was easy.The battery lasted on maximum volume for about 3 hours so I'd recommend something bigger than a 1.5 ah if you're looking to run this all day.The volume is good enough for me to hear it from about 20 metres away but the Bluetooth didn't work much past 16 metres, (a distance that I have recently measured as part of my garden project) so the claim of a 30m range doesn't appear to be correct. This wasn't a problem for me as I used the shelf on top of the unit to place my phone after the distance test and all was good.As for sound quality, whilst it's not the same as you would expect from an expensive system, it's plenty good enough for the size of the unit and certainly good enough for me.Overall a good little speaker for the price and I'm sure I'll get the use out of it.

This is the best Bluetooth speaker, very nice size , it’s been now 2 years my husband has it and it’s the same as when we bought it ,it keeps his charge for a long time , it’s very loud, you can charge your phone in it as well,

Looks unreal. The sound quality is 100%. Great battery life very easy to sync. Sleek and stylish great value if your a dewalt lover. No radio just Bluetooth speaker only dislikes.

First impressions after a couple days solid use,- The speaker is very well built, it has a nice weight to it & feels very durable,- I love the buttons to control the music it means I don't have to keep touching my phone while at work, my phone stays safe in my toolbox while to speaker is with me in the workshop,- Bluetooth works perfectly, easy to connect, my phone can be one side of the work shop & the speaker the other (30-40ft) & it works no problem,-battery life is ridiculous, 12v or 18v it lasts a very long time,Now the downside is the audio, alot of the reviews say its very good sound or amazing sound quality........ I would describe it as good enough / acceptable, also i have seen alot of reviews say this speaker is really loud or can be used to blast music for the whole workshop........ it can't. Before this speaker I used the UE Megaboom which for sound quality destroys this speaker which left me feeling a little disappointed with the dewalt at first, it lacks bass, playing with the equaliser on my phone made it slightly better but still not great.Thats not to say the Dewalt sounds bad but there is alot better audio quality out there for similar money, the problem i had with the UE is having to recharge it & having to keep my phone on me to change songs etc while working. The dewalt removes those issues by being able to swap out the battery & control the music through the speaker, after using the speaker for a few days i have got used to the sound quality & overall I am happy with the product, you sacrifice a little sound quality for functionality & durability.This is just a little advanced warning if you are used to high quality sound systems or speakers this will not compete with them however it is still a nice speaker to use & take the abuse of a workshop or working environment, consider it a personal speaker, perfect for working in & around vehicles or in small to medium workshops / rooms / areas, it is definately not a speaker that will blast loud high quality audio out for sites or large workshops / areas.

Very well built Speakers. Ideal for the job site. Just beware this has no radio tuner it’s just a Bluetooth speaker.
