Colt CT342 Firefighter Hunting Knife

I was very disappointed in this product. I bought one for myself and one for my boyfriend who is a firefighter. We tried to break tempered glass with the end that is made for breaking tempered glass and it not only did not break the glass, it flattened the tip of the metal point. When he put vice grips on the end, they left marks on the metal, so it's mild steal - not real tool steel that it should be. I thought going with the Colt brand I would be able to count on quality, especially because it displays the firefighter symbol. My boyfriend, said it looks nice, but it's not really useful to him as a firefighter's tool. It was just fortunate that we both found this out before counting on it in an emergency.

This was a gift for my brother in law and he loved it. Well built. The knife arrived on time and looked exactly like the picture.

Says it’s a Colt, it’s not

Cheap piece of garbage. Three of the tiny setscrews holding the knife together fell out within a few months, good luck finding replacements.
