Why does this product apear to be a counterfeit?

It’s not at all a counterFeit. It falls into a group of chemicals that sterilize hard, non porous surfaces. It uses 2 separate chemicals to destroy bacteria & viruses. Hepatitis C is one of the hardest viruses to kill outside the human body. It kills it in 7-10 minutes after you spray it on surface. The same type of chemicals have been used in tattoo shops & medical clinics for at least the last 40 years (17 of which I used it 1999-2016). There are other brands on the market: Wavacide, Cavacide & Hepacide area few. This is extremely poisonous. DO NOT USE ON SKIN!!! It is made to sterilize equipment, counter tops, door handles or medical equipment. I recommend Madacide because that’s what I always used. During the pandemic I use it on food knobs, car door handles, outer surfaces of products brought into my house etc. I passed every inspection by the Illinois Department of Public Health when they inspected my shops. They would swap areas to make sure no blood born pathogens were present (COVID is a blood borne pathogen). I will order more when my gallon runs out. By the way, I achieved the rank of Master Body Piercer in2008 so it was my business to know these chemicals.

I have extensive experience with this product. Used it for almost 20 years in my tattoo shops to spray work stations & chairs between clients. Hardcore chemicals but very effective.

Still expensive

The same stuff I've been using to clean and sterilize for more than a decade. Good product, easy to use. The price is significantly higher than it was 4 years ago, thanks to COVID and inflation. Tried another cleaner,/sterilizer when this was not available, and was very disappointed.
