I read some bad reviews about this when I got it, like it breaking and not cycling smoothly. It does have a thin area where the 90 degree angle is and also has more play than the stock charging handle. When I first installed it before I fired it, it had a rough spot when you pulled the charging handle back but after I fired my 10/22 it ran and still runs great and the cycling has smoothed out. So I have about 600-700 rounds with this charging handle installed and it is still running great. I would recommend it, after it has smoothed out its a lot nicer to have the bigger handle.

Makes racking my wife’s Ruger 10/22 a piece of cake. Not as long as the OEM, which made installing a bit tricky, but, after lubing the spring assembly, all smoothed out. Once installed, it worked seamlessly and smoothly.

This product looks nice however that is where its value ends. Once installed neither the charging handle spring did not have enough force to close the bolt at all. I could open the bolt half way and it would remain open. After applying some oil it did seem to cycle a little smoother however it still would not function properly. Regardless of what I tried I was not able to get the bolt closed when using this piece. Once I gave up I replaced it with the factory charging handle and the bolt group functioned as it should have.

I have fat fingers and the OEM charging lever easily slipped off my finger when attempting to charge my 10/22. This is twice the size and so much easier to use. Cannot wait to get to the range!!

The spring provided with the is not strong enough to cycle the action 100% of the time. I guide rod and handle itself are good quality. KIDD sells a guide rod spring kit which fits this guide rod and it fixes the problem.

Great addition to my 10/22 . Works like a champ.
