very good book from owner view, has heaps of tips and bits you don't see in the production workshop manuals, it probably does not cover all eventualities but is a welcome addition to the library.it is well set out, easy to follow and well illustrated, I have used workshop manuals most of my 50 years and even though this book is not exhaustive in details it is very useful to the new owner of the classic lady as I am, anyone will find this book interesting and helpful.well done.

I am a reasonably talented amateur mechanic, and a long time car enthusiast/restorer. I was always a bit nervous about buying a Silver Shadow, because I know they are complicated, and very advanced (for their time) automobiles. This book completely explains all of the intricate working of these cars, and more importantly, shows how the home mechanic/enthusiast can take care of most of the regular maintenance, and smaller repairs themselves, rather than having to pay specialists for all of the required work. There are even sections on restoration of woodwork, paintwork, etc. Much more than just a shop manual supplement, this book is absolutely essential for the current owner or anyone contemplating the purchase of one of these Rolls-Royce. It is the best money you will spend, before, during, or after your aquisition of a Silver Shadow.

This is just a great book. Nicely written, with some subtle humour and plenty of detail. As is typical with maintenance books there are some jobs described that only a lunatic would attempt (anyone up for a bare metal respray of a Rolls-Royce at home??), but there are plenty of items within the normal human skill range and loads of information, including what to look out for. If you are considering one of these fine machines, as I am, it is a great source of knowledge. Recommended.

Provides a lot of useful information that is not always decipherable from the "brit-speak" in the shop manuals.

Very useful, instructive and no blah blah book

Rolls Royce automobiles are different animals. The basics are the same, but there are so many nuances that won't be found in your Chevy. If you plan on doing any work yourself, this book will save you a bunch of headaches! Very well written and right on point.

Very useful - quick delivery

Whilst a useful book it did not go in to depth on matters that I was interested in, specifically the rear height hydraulics & rams.There was a good section on getting a quality re-spray that went into great detail, with good oversight as to costs involved.I feel it is time to re-write this manual to get it up-to-date and make it go into more detail. Maybe a tie-in with one of the (Dutch?) websites to use their excellent graphics, especially hydraulics?

The closest thing to the official workshop manual you can find. Apart from the real thing, which I also have.
