I have a 3 and 5 year old and they like to use it themselves. Not too hard like the adult tongue scrappers.

So far so good... We are still working on learning how to use it. The baby starts biting it, but I think it will get better over time once he understands the concept. My squirmy toddler refuses for us to brush her tongue, so I found these on here. So glad I did cuz she actually uses it herself :D. it is soft enough yet scrapes some of the white milk residue on her tongue.

Definitely NOT for newborns. The darn thing is too big for my daughter’s mouth! So not sure why it was advertised for newborns as well. I should have listened to one of the other reviewer stating the same! Do not buy this if you intend to clean your newborn milky tongue!!
