3 Pack 10 Year Battery Operated Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Detector, Travel Portable Photoelectric Fire Co Alarm for Home, Kitchen

I just ordered a 3 Pk for $54. They arrived quickly & it took 10 mins to install them.My house has wired smoke alarms, these do not plugin! Only Battery! Most major brands allow for Radio links between  &/Or Hardwire Power & Alarm links. So if 1 Alarm goes off they all go off.These do not have a Radio Link or a hard Wired plug.They are all independent/stand-alone. If 1 alarm goes off, none of the others will go off!!---->This may not meet your local code & likely does not meet multi-tenant codes anywhere!! <--For $54 It is a great price & hopefully, they will have a new model next year with RadioLink & plugin for about the same price. If they do I will buy them!--->I will update this as time goes on if they don't work when i would expect them to or if the battery dies or with other issues.

I bought this set because of the combo nature of the smoke & carbon monoxide detection AND the preinstalled 10yr battery. So in theory no need to change the batteries. I would however set your calendar to test them every 6 months. Which entails a simple button push. Make sure you read the directions completely as initially it appeared that the ones I purchased were dead. But the initial set up will automatically give a "dead battery" alarm alert that stops momentarily. I liked that I got 3 in a box and needed 6 total so I bought 2 packages. I feel the price for value was good. You cannot change the batteries without damaging the unit. I am not 100% sure why these mention "Travel" or "Portable" in their name/title description- seems a little strange.... We'll see how long the battery actually lasts.

Great batter life and incredibly simple to turn on and install. Only problem is it is not up to code in a residential home that needs the smoke detectors to be wired. (I know I know. I shouldn't have gotten batter operated in the first place) These smoke alarms are only useful in RV's not in your home. If you have a fire in your home and your house consists of nothing but these smoke detectors your insurance will not cover the damage because you did not comply with acceptable wired units. This is something worth noting. Knowing this could save you or cost you the entire value of your home. I dont know a single person that could loose their home and owe the bank hundreds of thousands of dollars and be able to financially recover. ONLY USE IN RV'S!!!!!

Hard to give any true review because I hope they don't alarm because that would mean a problem/emergency. How do you know they work 100% until then. That being said I did test manually with smoke/co2 upon installation and they work. Easy to install, looks are fine, and comfortable with the battery length and automatic warning for run-down at 10 yrs. Will check periodically to be safe . Gives some peace of mind . pray they never have to alarm.

I bought these for my son and his family. The price was reasonable and he did say they were easy to install. Only a month old, I can't speak to battery life but I expect they'll make it at least most if not all of the 10 years. They're one time use, meaning the battery can't be replaced. That's ok with me for now. I expect we'll have better tech in 10 years.

Sent these back the day I bought them. The back pieces didn’t fit on to the bodies of the detectors. I followed the instructions and still they still wouldn’t assemble correctly to get them to work. Maybe it was a fluke and I got a bad batch but you’d think there would at least be better quality control.

1 of the 6 I bought was dead on arrival. I didn't realize when I got these that the batteries were not replaceable but that was on me. The nice part is the dead one made me learn how to deactivate the device which I'm sure will be importance some day

Like having lightning going off in the room every minute. Ridiculous. Had already installed them all before I realized while laying in bed that night they have a strobe light that lights up every minute or so. Keep shopping!!
