Leather Crossbody Bag for Women - Vintage Satchel, Travel Saddle Purse

Item: RUSTIC TOWN Leather Crossbody Satchel Bag 13 inch: I do not often give reviews on products, unless I feel strongly about them, negatively or positively. I just have to give a review about this product. I am particular about handbags, that I purchase and I cannot say enough great things about this "saddlebag" style genuine leather crossbody bag, especially considering the very affordable price of it. To begin with, it arrived with so very much protective wrapping on it, you would believe that it was protecting Fort Knox. That is the first indication, that it is a product of a small business because small businesses are more interested in the care of their products to arrive in perfect condition. I salute Amazon for using small business companies. The bag was also shipped in a quite nice reusable drawstring cloth bag with the company logo on it. Another indication of the pride this company has in its products. Once unwrapped, I was more than pleased to find an extremely nice all leather bag in perfect condition. The leather crossbody strap has no usual metal hardware, like most crossbody bags. Most adjustable crossbody straps have a buckle, like a belt buckle, where the pin part of the buckle catches in my sweaters, making a pull place or a hole or catches in my hair. This bag has an adjustable hardware more like a slide, no pin, and it works great. All of the metal hardware was tightly wrapped to avoid being scratched in the shipping process. The interior of the bag is a delightful hunter green, rather than the usual black found in most handbags. This hunter green inside makes it much easier to find what I'm searching for in my handbag. I really appreciate that! A wide zipper on the outside of the back of the bag opens to a space almost the size of the entire bag for items you want to quickly get to. Also, the inside zipper compartment is as wide as the bag itself. Most handbags having an inside zipper pocket are so small as to hold maybe one or two small items. Not this bag! I can put my mirror, several lipsticks, a pen or two, and another small thing or two in it! There are two very generous compartments inside this bag with a velcro strap to secure one side. The divider between the two compartments is sturdy, not flimsy and limp, like most bags. This keeps what I put in the bag secure and helps to maintain the overall shape of this bag. There is even a very nice letter of thanks from RUSTIC TOWN enclosed in the bag, which also contains instructions on the best care of the leather. Being new leather, this bag is naturally a bit stiff; however, with use it will soften and I plan to use this bag a lot! Also, for this bag to be all genuine leather, it is not extremely heavy, so that I end up never using it. My closet contains leather bags I've purchased, that are so heavy, once I've put things in them I couldn't carry them. I can tell that I will be carrying this satchel leather handbag for many years. Obviously I am more than happy, well excited, about this purchase from this small, yet quality business. I will certainly buy from them again! This Rustic Town leather crossbody satchel is really well made. The leather feels durable and high-quality, and the vintage design gives it a nice, timeless look without being over the top. It’s a great size; roomy enough for essentials but still easy to carry. The strap is comfortable for wearing across the body, and the pockets help keep things organized. Overall, a solid, stylish bag that’s practical for everyday use and has a classic feel. Definitely worth considering!

The style of this purse is so cute! I love the shape and the look of the buckle hanging down. The strap is really attractive. The leather is beautiful. I did NOT have an odd smell with my purse as other reviewers have indicated. A deep sniff gives a light leather (and not unpleasant) odor. It's very subtle. I don't know why others have experienced such a strong smell. Maybe they have since addressed the issue. It was not a problem at all for me. The purse seems like it is very well made and I have high hopes for durability and longevity. The inside of the purse also seems well-made. It's just an overall really nice, quality purse! The only reason I deducted a star is because I find the buckle closure isn't that convenient. I am getting used to it, however, so it's getting easier. I prefer a magnetic closure, although I will say that the buckle seems like it will provide more security. The pocket just inside of that has a snap that is also a little difficult to close. I hope that it will get a bit easier to snap over time. My phone and my driver's license and my most-used credit card fit nicely in the back zipper where it is secure and next to my body. The inside is spacious enough for some makeup items in the front snap pocket, some more credit cards and dollar bills in the inside zippered pocket, and some reading glasses, a pen, a small magnifier and some tissues in the main sections. There is room to spare. But I don't like to carry a ton of stuff - big purses are like black holes where your stuff hides - and lots of zippered pockets end up being super confusing. This purse is the perfect size and layout for everyday use and for carrying needed items.

The product arrived packed in a nice drawstring bag that was inside a plastic bag. Inside the cloth bag, another plastic bag! The handbag was well protected, with packing foam taped around every metal buckle. I packed paper inside to expand the handbag per directions, and the next day conditioned it with Renapur Leather Balm as the leather was stiff and a bit dry. The color before conditioning was darker than the pictures, and there was a scent that was a bit strong but quickly faded to a pleasant leathery, woodsy aroma. I’m 5’7” and the bag sits just below my waist when slung to the back; it’s very comfortable. It doesn’t shift around, and the front pocket is generously sized. The bag is not floppy at all; the leather seems to have been split and glued to a stiff green canvas backing. For this price I can live with that. The inner compartment is very roomy and the padded divider with a Velcro strap closure is a nice touch for carrying a table. The hardware seems to be reasonably sturdy. The strap is well made, with thin strips of leather sewn securely to a good quality webbing strap. I sewed tote bags for friends and the stitching looks really good and strong on the webbing, and overall. It can carry journals, books, a tablet, glasses case, phone, and the back has a zippered pocket for wallet, etc. It looks nice enough for every day, but could be part of a cosplay outfit or travel bag.

This bag exceeded my expectations. Came beautifully wrapped in a cloth bag, each fixture was also rapped and tapped for protection. The leather was truly flawless. Light weight, perfect size for my things. My 8x5 notepad fits perfect, Samson Galaxy S10 (yes i know its old) fits nice. I like that it has a secure outside zipper compartment on the back next to my body and the whole bag clips secure with the clip. I do not like open topped bag, this one feels secure even if falls in the floor of the car. This bag will sit on a table straight up however. "TRICK TO SHARE". This is a beautiful soft leather bag. As it ages it will get softer, SO to make it stand up I cut a piece of cardboard from the Amazon box and slipped it in the bottom. Not it stands nice on the table and will not flop over. It currently will stand up but as leather ages it will get softer. I LOVE THIS BAG

This is the BEST purse I’ve EVER had!!! I’m obsessed with purses and bags and this one blows all the other ones I’ve had completely out of the water!!! It’s held up during long days a Disney and Universal. It goes with everything which is huge for me. It’s the perfect size. I’m a big bag girly and this one has plenty of storage without being bulky. It has tons of pockets so I can organize everything in its own place. It is very comfortable to carry to boot. Buy this purse! It’s worth every penny! Oh and for those that complain about the smell, that’s genuine leather, and I for one think it smells wonderful.

Additional update. I returned my original bag because it wouldn't stay closed. I was sent another bag and I am happy again. I really do like the design, look amd feel of the bag. It arrived quickly and in a cloth bag which I will use when I store it. YYAAAYYY...I'M HAPPY AGAIN UPDATE: I've had my bag for a little while. I love the bag and its just the right style and size that i was looking for. COMPLAINT: The clasp doesn't stay closed. I would like to replace the bag or have a new clasp sent to me. I looked for an email to reachout to the merchant but there isn't anything. ORGINAL REVIEW: When I received the package and opened it it was wrapped in a cloth bag that was securely wrapped in plastic and that told me that this was made with pride. So I opened everything to see the beautiful chestnut brown pocketbook. The leather is stiff (that will loosen up with time) and that leather smell that I like. The strap is adjustable and the look and feel of it is beautiful. The closure can be either by the strap or the clip, that's my only concern in that the clip will give as its not sturdy. I am pleased with this purchase and believe that this is a rare find for a surprising price. I do reccomend this product.

I absolutely love this bag perfect size , beautiful design can't believe the price looked good in the picture but better in real life . Have seen other bags very similar in shops $250 and up.only negative and it's a small one is there's a protective wax or polish on bag and don't like the feel or smell so I got a soft cloth and buffed it in .it's now perfect.i love bags and easily own fifty this bag stacks up as one of my favorites, would advise anyone who isn't sure to buy this brand.

Order arrived earlier than expected which was a bonus as bought as an Xmas present for mum in law. She opened it and was impressed by it's good size, number of pockets and real leather. She immediately starting swapping over the contents of her old bag into the new one. She was that happy with it she told me to bin her old bag! Really impressed with it.
