Very pleased!
I had been looking at much more expensive spinners, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased this one. I couldn't be happier! It is very attractive, well made and extremely easy to assemble and install. At 82 inches, about 70" once in the ground, it is a good height (a foot or so taller than many similar spinners available). It looks great in my desert landscaping and I love watching it! Sometimes one part moves, sometimes the other, sometimes both. Sometimes they turn in the same direction, other times opposite directions. Sometimes it turns slowly, other times quite fast. And often all of this changes every few seconds -- depending on the direction and intensity of the wind. It's like watching a kaleidoscope! A terrific addition to my yard and well worth the price!

Beautiful, and spins lke crazy!
I was hesitant to order this spinner because of some of the negative reviews, but it was the nicest design I had seen and so I took a chance. Well, it is perfect! Heavy, well-made, and large enough to make a statement, but not the least bit "tacky", as so many garden ornaments can be. Spins freely and constantly, just fascinating to watch. It also rotates horizontally on its stake, which was a pleasant surprise. My only criticism would be that there are no directions for assembly. Fortunately, my mechanical-genius son put it together for me in 5 minutes, hit it with a little WD 40, and set it up for me. ( I'm sure I would not have done so well on my own.) Anyway, it is wonderful, and I love it!

What a terrific twirler at an even more terrific price!
This kinetic twirler is solidly made with an attractive patina finish and is easy to assemble and install. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it does not twirl as much as I'd like, doing so primarily in very stiff breezes/wind. I have used silicone lubricant on the moving parts to encourage more spinning, but I think the fact that the twirler is so solidly made means that its weight makes it less likely to twirl in lighter breezes. Still, a very interesting addition to my garden landscape so, overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

One spinner turns, the other does not
Tried some machine oil, and checked my assembly work, no help. We like the look, and this is well-engineered overall, and built to last awhile, that's about all you can expect form any piece of garden art where we are. If I can find my snap ring pliers, I'll pull that bearing this weekend and clean, lube it. Then I might have to return the thing, it really doesn't look right with just the one turning.UPDATE-I pried the bearing out, pretty easy to do, you turn the spinner blade over and slip a small screwdriver underneath the bearing housing, it's not a press fit. The metal bearing shield on one side is showing several dings, looks like somebody pried this one open and tried clean/lube the bearings, not sure why that didn't work, but one of these dings might be pressing on the bearing race. Anyway, these 6200Z bearings are pretty common, you can get four here on Amazon for $6.45, so that's what I did, we'll see if that works. Wife really likes the spinner, so I'm not sending it back if I can help it.

LOVE IT!
This is so neat... put it together in 5 minutes... up and running in 10. It's pretty big! At least 5 feet tall and about 1.5 foot across. It looks pretty and spins wonderfully without too much wind. Great purchase. It would make a wonderful gift. Found it here on Amazon for $57 including shipping.>> Now that I've had this for a while I'm going to DOUBLY recommend it! Be sure you don't try to tighten the wheels too close... I live in Southern California where there is not much wind and this thing still twirls. Even with only a slight breeze it goes around slowly. I love it and have placed it where I can see it from my couch. It's so beautiful and calming. What a small price to pay for something that makes me so happy (I'm a person who doesn't usually buy gifts for myself, so to get this and have it work so well makes it extra special.)

Mine went together easy and with no problems
I bought two of these- one to keep and one as a gift. The packaging, if you can call it that, was an absolute JOKE. Imagine this huge item laying in a flat piece of open cardboard, with nothing other than plastic wrap over it. The metal fans were zip-tied to the cardboard, but both mine arrived ragged, plastic ripped and cardboard backing all bent up.Mine went together easy and with no problems, the color is great and all the pieces were high quality and I was quickly forgetting the s***ty packing/shipping job. I stuck it out in the yard and waited. And waited. I twiddled it with my hand and the blades spun easily. So I waited some more. I moved it to a different spot in the yard. And waited. The trees were rustling around me, I could feel a nice breeze on my skin, but still I waited for the blades to move. To do ANYTHING. So I took it apart. I put it back together, reading the directions this time- nope, I did it right the first time.We live above a river on a bluff, so I carried it to the windiest part of the property and replanted it this time- with a level- in case I wasn't getting it straight or something. You guessed it- nothing. I came inside and read the other posts/ reviews about how some people had to tweak the blades a bit. I went back out and measured the exact distance between each blade and made a few unofficial adjustments. Still nothing. The long and short of it is, if you want something pretty, this is it. If you want a kinetic wind sculpture that actually MOVES, buy something else. I held onto the second one for two months until it was time to give it as the gift, and was hoping it would work better than mine. My friend loved it (I removed the crappy wrapping of course), but had the exact same results- said it doesn't move a lick. It's too late to return them, so now I'm stuck with two $86 pieces of yuck that don't do anything.
