The Stanley Fatmax tape measure is an amazing tape measure. Me and my crew have only used these for the past 10 yrs. They last, the tape is fat and doesn’t tear easy, the graduations are easy to read and never fade and are always accurate, and it is bright colors so you can always find it and is built like a tank in the USA!! The bladeguard really does protect the blade and there is a plastic tape liner for the first couple of inches riveted in for additional support. Absolutely value for the money because one tape will last you 5x longer!

I have had a tape measure like this for a long time. A neighbor saw it and liked it so much I ordered one for him too. It is nice and sturdy and easy to use, especially for measuring long distances because it doesn't twist.

This was a replacement purchase for a Fat Max I'd been using for over a decade. When my original broke, I thought - No big deal, I have 4 other full size tape measures - After trying to work with the other ones on a couple of projects I gave up and bought a new Stanley . The other just didn't have the ease of use that this one has. Easy to read, easy to handle. Accurate measuring is hard enough - use the right tool - Measure twice, cut once.

I was given blueprints that were all in metric, so buying this tape saved me from having to convert all the dimensions. It has the typical Fatmax quality you would expect.

What can you say about Stanley fat max? I've been. Milwaukee tape guy for years because all of my power tools and most hand tools are made by that brand but I thought I'd give Stanley a try. No complaints at all it's a very sturdy tape even in the wind etc.
