I did not test to see what they draw because they suck. My incandescent (193s) are brighter. These give off a very dirty light with lines from where the light does no overlap.

How far apart should I mount these for optimum lighted area? Using as backup lights

would work well at any distance apart up to your bumper width. Mine are only 12" apart on the front of a tractor. Hope that helps.
