When the package arrived the box looked like it had been kicked down the road. I pulled the starter out and it looked ok so I installed it in my 1994 Sea Doo XP. When I still couldn’t get my ski to start, I took it to the shop only to learn that my new starter was bad. Another new starter and $800 in labor later my ski runs. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Starter fits my 1993 Sea-Doo GTX. Starter worked for riding 2 days. Went to start on third day and cranked and slowly stopped. Thought battery was dead so charged. Nothing but relay click. Tested solenoid and appears to be working. Replaced it anyway. Confirmed 12v being delivered to starter post. Nothing. Pulled starter and tested with jumper cables and does nothing but hum intermittently. Tested another starter motor with bad Bendix and it works fine. This motor lasted 2 days and it's toast. Rather than return it, I harvested Bendix and put on other starter.

Mine is a '91 580 Sea-Doo. Old Jet ski but tough to keep them running if new parts fail prematurely! Junk starter
