Must have for protection and peace of mind
I got this to replace another alarm that was much more expensive. I was skeptical at first but the alarm system works great!! I have the contact sensors, motion detectors, and the flood light camera. All work very well. When placing the motion detectors be careful not to place them so they will be facing any metal object with the sun shining on it. This will cause false alarms. The floodlight camera is great. You get great video and sound from it. If your trying to use the 2 way talk the person by the flood light camera may have a hard time hearing you but they should be able to as long as there's not a lot of background noise. I had a couple false alarms to begin work as I had a motion detector that was giving false alarms. Once I repositioned it, everything works great!!! The best part is i am saving money!!!! I

Works good
I have had this system for several months now. I have had no issues with it. Pretty simple to install. I do have it connected to a UPS for backup power. My only complaint is the alarm is not very loud when I tested it. I ended up buying a third party Zwave compatible siren with 120db.

Great buy
I bought this before covid when it seemed like Marshall law was going into effect but easy to install kinda addicting seeing how many openings you can cover. I def feel safer having this alarm is nice n loud n so are the door sensors

Seems to work well
So far so good with this Ring Home Alarm system. I've tried other 315 mhz od 433 mhz wireless systems and had issues. Connectivity with z wave to the components are good and it reconnects quickly when my Verizon Fios likes to throttle its service to me and ticks off from time to time. Going to continue to use this before I decide to sign up for central station monitoring. I can arm and disarm with voice command through Alexa. Will try other components as well..So far so good..

Easy set up, good so far, wish for a couple of additions...
I'm roughly two weeks in and so far so good. I have a fairly big set up and will likely be adding components if everything continues to go well. My system: 2 keypads, 18 contact sensors and 5 motion sensors. This is in addition to the base station and the range extender.Set up was pretty easy, though at some points during the process the app didn't respond well and seemed to get hung up. I'm not sure what that was, but it did cause some frustration during that period. When working, it worked really well. I have the system set up to arm the full perimeter in home mode and include the motion sensors in away mode. One nice thing is that I can toggle the motion to be on in either home or away mode or both. This works really well for me as I have a detached office that I want to arm when in home mode. I did have one contact sensor drop from the system, but a quick reset on that one and it hasn't happened again.Couple of suggestions for Ring: First, I have an attached garage where I have my laundry, so I wanted to arm the garage perimeter and not have to do it by motion sensor. The garage has a roll up door which made it pretty challenging to find a good way to position the sensor. I finally figured out a way, but having a garage door sensor that triggers at an angle would be really nice. Next, AT&T has kind of mixed coverage in my neighborhood and it very affected by bad weather. Similar situation at my old house with my ADT system. It would be great to have choice of cellular backup carrier as Verizon has a much stronger signal at my house. Finally, why do you charge for window stickers an yard signs? I live on a fairly high traffic street and it would be good advertising for Ring, but I'm not about to pay $50 for a yard sign. These result in the one star deduction.I have the Ring doorbells and will be adding other cameras this week. I'll update as things progress/change.
