Mini Music Guides -- Guitar Repair & Maintenance: Everything You Need to Know in an Easy-to-Follow Format!

I bought a guitar with a Floyd Rose Double Locking Tremolo. I was clueless to what I was buying as a beginner guitarist. Yes, it's a cool guitar, but was a nightmare when I tried to tune it for the first time. I went about it like I tuned my first electric guitar with a regular bridge and tremelo system. Big mistake! After watching countless YouTube videos I was getting close. Not close enough to have it correct. I knew I could take it to a guitar shop and have it repaired. I bought the guitar and I was determined I was going to fix it myself. I'm better at learning if I have something in my hands and can read and reread. The Guitar Care and Gear Essentials book has approximately 50 pages on the Floyd Rose system with pictures and diagrams. There is also a page that gives you a list of tools required for adjusting the Floyd Rose Tremolo. That one page saved me enough money to have the book pay for itself. I was able to assemble my own guitar repair tool kit. Well, it obviously didn't cover the price of the tools, but definitely covered what it would have cost for the repair at a guitar shop. The book also has a lot of information on all electric guitar parts, maintenance, set up, gear essentials and troubleshooting. I also like the size of the book. It's a little over 7" long and 5" wide. A great size to throw in a gig bag. Guitar Care and Gear Essentials is a must have book for any beginner electric guitar player.

Good book for beginner if you have a floyd rose to set up. Has alot of useful info on essential guitar. Note: in title.Must to have tho is: Advanced hot rod techniques

The name and description indicates it is for guitar maintenance. It is not until you get the book and tread it that is says it is really just for electric guitars. I only have acoustics. Not helpful
