This is my 6th set... I ALWAYS buy these.
I've had this brand of window shades on six vehicles now. I don't care for the in-channel style, especially with newer cars, because the windows are sensored for safety and sometimes won't close. The out-of-channel style adhere beautifully and easily. I chose to clean the vehicle with rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and a microfiber cloth, and then apply these. It ensures a residue free surface. These are always super easy to install, though I recommend holding them up to the window first (before removing the tape liner) to get an idea of where it should line up. I've never had the tape give way, even after having a set on for almost a decade on my Magnum. My latest set is on a '13 Explorer and, as always, they fit great! I prefer to have the windows cracked most of the year, and these keep the elements out, draw the vehicle air outwards to keep the air fresh, and provide a little extra shade on sunny days without obstructing my view.

AVS is a good company and have been buying their products for years.
Great shipping and fast shipping. They're easy to install and so far no problems. The only problem is there might be little knicks on them when you take them out of the plastic.

Nice addition if you have passengers who feel the need to crack the window all the time
Installed these on my 2013 Ford Explorer XLT. Rear pair is as close to perfect as can be, front fitment is a little odd regardless of installation position, had to simply make do with how it was. The front edge overhang doesn't quite look right in comparison to the window edge or the top overhang, though it seems to work just fine. One really nice thing about using these is that it eliminates the Helmholtz effect when a single rear window is open. That's the thrumming beat effect that can drive you nuts quickly, which ordinarily requires you to open another window to eliminate. The adhesive tape used on these looks like the same kind I've used myself in the past - it's lasted 20 years on boats. For best results make sure the tape is warm before installing. You can put these on if it's cool outside, just make sure that the visors themselves were stored inside before you do it so that the adhesive is ready.

Great Product
This is a great product. I had ventshades on my 2002 Explorer and loved them, so when I bought a new 2012 Explorer, I wanted to put ventshades on it, too. I chose these because they were In-channel and I thought they would look nicer on my new vehicle than the ones that stick to the outside of the window. I am so glad I got these. They fit perfectly and were very easy to install. Although, at first, my window didn't want to close because they are child protection windows and if they hit anything before closing all way they immediately go back down. I just had make sure that I pulled the ventshade tightly against the window sill as I closed the window and it was fine. Once the ventshades sat with my windows closed for 24 hours, I had no problems with my windows closing. I love them. They work great, they stick very well and they look great on my Explorer.

Not able to be used as shipped
I installed these a couple days ago.On the rear window shades the tape was on both sides of the shade, which did not allow the windows to roll up properly. It glued the shade to the window. I had to peel the tape off and put it on the proper side.On the rear window shades there was also only tape on one of the vertical faces, instead of on both vertical faces like shades I have had in the past. This means the side without the tape sticks out into the path of the window and the windows won't roll up without me holding them with my fingers to keep them out of the way of the window. There's also a slight difference in the contour of the two corners of the rear vent shades. I tried one on both sides and it wasn't apparent which corner was supposed to be forward. I chose the corner with the tape. The front window shades also only have tape on one vertical surface, so I can't roll the window up without fidgeting with it. This means I can't roll my window down because I won't be able to roll it back up while driving.I'm also worried that if the windows are down when I'm driving they shades will fall out and be lost. Bottom line, I need to figure out where to get some of the tape they use and I need to reapply it myself where it should have been put in the first place. I'll probably have to remove the tape they installed in the first place, because I'll have to unstick it and pull the shades out to apply more tape. This product is not usable right out of the box and I'm pretty disappointed with it.

Works great
Make sure if you install in channel model you do it on a hot day. I installed on a cool day and I had to hold them out of the way to get the windows to roll completely up. After a several hot days they finally settled into the window weather stripping and the windows go up with no issues.

Spacers
Looks good but doesn't come with the spacers like they use to so the window doesn't hit the visor. If someone could contact me so I can find out where to get the spacers I would greatly appreciate it.

More double sided tape would be nice !!!
Nice looking product but I found it was a headache to install given they do not have enough mounting tape attached to allow the window to clear once installed .If you want the in channel visors might be a good idea to buy double sided tape probably going to need it ....

Fit perfectly on 2016 Ford Explorer
The Auto Ventshade (94293) fit perfectly on my 2016 Ford Explorer. Easy to install and are more rugged than the insert type. Highly recommended. I suggest installing in a warmer place, like a garage or shop, especially if you live in a cold climate.
