Awesome Tire
This is such a great tire. Very all purpose. I usually ride on the street to get to trails (2 miles approx) and it rolls great on pavement. More rolling resistance on the trail than the dissector, but its marginal. I popped my dissector Exo on a rock a week ago. Decided to get this minion ii EXO+. I like it so much better for my style of riding. It is a beast on steep climbs! GRIP CITY! Helps you keep a nice line when corning and going fast. If you like steering with your back tire braking, go with the dissector. As for EXO+ durability, dont know yet (but i expect great things, cant tell weight difference). I will update post later after more rides. Also, it was a little tough to get the tire on the wheel without the tool. I would advise getting a bead popper tool. Happy riding!

You can never go wrong with Maxxis
Awesome tire that wears well and has a very predictable handling. I’ve been running Maxis tires on my mountain bikes for years. Good performance in dry and wet conditions. I run the maxterra compound, and it gives a good balance between durability and grip.

I switch the Maxxis DHF for the Assegay and I tell you this never going back to the DHF, much better tires all around and the DHF is a good one

Traction on loose terrain
I ride on a lot of hard pack with small gravel on top, so it's pretty slick around turns and up hills. I had less knobby tires on my bike. I was loosing traction up hills and was having to brake more around corners because of traction issues. I put these Minion tires on my bike, because I've had them before. I rode yesterday on a heavy switchback trail with lots of loose gravel. You are going to slip a little on a trail like that, no matter what, but it was 90% less than with the less knobby tires I had on there. There was no loss of traction peddling up steep hills.

Been around for a while, but still my preferred up front solution for the great British mud, rock and everything in between.
