They are as beautiful as you can remember from when you were a boomer kid. The 7-bulb set uses 42 watts, (6w per bulb). The bulbs are incandescent. They get a little warm but not hazardous*. I would not leave them run unattended on a pine tree but then who would leave any lights on a green tree, unattended? I don't know if there is any post-season pricing but perhaps. The liquid in the bubble tubes is hazardous material so be careful to not break them! *See warning on the packaging.

Took me back to my childhood.

They work well, however, the blue lights are so dark you can't see them bubbling.

When I was about five years old, a friend of my folks had bubble lights in their tree that fascinated me for hours, with each light with its bubbling lighted liquid holding my attention for hours. Remembering the gleeful hours is a memory revisited.

My husband loved these lights. Reminds him of his childhood tre.

These lights do get warm, therefore care should be taken when putting them on a tree. They are enjoyable to watch when the bubbles really get going. Although the lights do last a long time, replacements can be hard to find outside of Amazon.

Have been trying for several years to find bubble lights that actually bubble for more than a few days before stopping. These lights have a slight difference in the socket from other sets I have tried and that may be the reason. Will be purchasing several more sets.
