Does the thing, just like you expect.
I have the Line 6 POD and Bass POD. I wanted to control them via PC DAW. This does that given that you know what to program. Bought two off the rip. Good decision.I wanted to test some specific 5 pin midi functions on my keyboard. This does that. Just line up the channel.I'd bet this works with a raspberry pi... should try that later...Cable in goes to port out, cable out goes to port in. Makes sense, but only when you think about it for a sec... yeah, that does kinda make sense.I would not describe this as a travelling cable. I think it would fall apart in a month. Buy something a bit more sturdy for that. But, as far as a home studio need, this is fine.Ticks all the boxes except travel, but aside from that, it does the thing, just like you expect.

Perfect for playing Synthesia!
I got a 76 key Yahama piano recently from a family member. The piano didn't have a printer cable connection for connecting to pcs, probably because it's an older model, so I bought this.The cable works better than expected! No hastle or fussing with drivers like I feared, as soon as I plugged the USB in I was ready to play.Make sure to plug the MIDI in cable into the piano out slot and vice versa. This is the one! it works on midi compatible cell phones and computers, just plug and play in some cases set midi in and outs then it works great, for cable hookup always hook out/in and in out that's how midi work s not in/in and out/out.

Maximum compatibility with Vintage Synths
I was able to use this cable to send/receive sysex to/from my vintage synths. My high end audio interface couldn’t do it. Highly recommended.
