Great Case!
This case is awesome! I bought this to replace my old deteriorating particle board case and already I wish I had bought this sooner. First off, this case is incredibly light, and remains so even after being loaded with my trombone. This not to say that the case does not feel sturdy, it definitely feels like it could withstand a few hard knocks. The case is composed of a hard shell covered by nylon, with built in backpack straps on the bottom, an outer pocket that can fit a trombone stand, and hooks for a detachable shoulder strap. The interior is a soft black plush with two compartments for supplies, neither of these has a dedicated mouthpiece holder, but that is not a problem because the case comes with a mouthpiece sleeve. In terms of the fit on the inside, I read a few reviews of people saying this case did not fit their trombone or people who are worried that it won't fit, but this case easily fit my Yamaha closed wrap trombone with an F-attachment with a few extra inches to spare (it might fit an open wrap, check the photos). Anyway, this is a great case for a great price. Definitely consider picking this up if you're looking for a solid budget case.

A tank
My daughter needed something sturdy, but light and affordable for her bach 42b (closed wrap). The original case that came with it weighed 13 pounds, was encased in a thin leather, and was not practical for transporting to and from school everyday. She loves this one. It's very rigid on the outside and padded on the inside, but does not weigh a lot at all. It's also got ample compartments and outside pockets for all of her mouthpieces and cleaning gear. The handles and backpack straps are sturdy and comfortable to use. We have not run into any issues with the zippers.I have only run into two small issues.1. I'm not a fan of velcro, and there are a couple places that utilize velcro. It will likely wear our eventually, but I'm sure I can replace them with snaps when the time comes.2. My daughter uses the handles and not the backpack straps, because she is generally wearing a backpack. I have to take care to tuck the straps up so they aren't flopping around. Again, not a big deal, but it would be nice if there was a built in way to tidy up the straps that aren't in use. Overall though, this case has been pretty much exactly what we need.

Wow! What a great case for a Trigger Trombone
Wow! I am so impressed with this case. I purchased this case for my son's trigger trombone, but it can also be used for his regular tenor trombone. I specifically wanted a case that could be used for either type of trombone. The case is sturdy and structured, has lots of pockets inside and outside, and is super light. The bonus is that it has attached backpack straps! (The backpack straps can also be used as an additional handle due to their design). There are handles all over the case, so you carry it in all sorts of ways. My son is so happy, and he no longer complains about lugging the trombone back and forth to school every day. I wish I had come across this case a year ago when my son started playing the trombone; it would have saved me and my son a lot of headaches. I can't say enough good things about this case. If you are on the fence, don't be. Just buy it. You will be happy that you did.

My teenage son loves it, so it’s a win!
My son is in high school marching band. Comparatively, this case is much lighter than the case his trigger trombone came with. He’s the one who hast to carry it to and from school every day and he is very happy with it. He loves that it has an extra zipper pouch for his music folder, music books, and other small things like his marching gloves, etc. Overall quality seems excellent. Highly recommend for any band student looking for a much lighter case to lug around.

Great case but not perfect.
I just got back into playing the trombone and remember that I really liked my Protec case. So without hesitation, I bought this updated version. This is a terrific case and a great price. I would definitely recommend it. However, there are a few things about it that aren't perfect.I like the big side pockets. The inner pockets have elastic straps to keep them firmly closed. It comes with backpack straps so it's odd that Amazon says this case is frequently purchased with the strap separately. The handles are comfortable and I love the extra one on top.A nice touch is the inclusion of a mouthpiece bag/case.Although it's nice to have the backpack straps, I would prefer to have them as an option instead of being attached. I don't really use them so they just add bulk. It would be cool if the flap that covers them was a little looser so that it could secure a tbone stand.I prefer to use the included shoulder strap. I remember from the previous generation case that I was irritated that the strap fastened in a way that made it awkward to open the bag. The strap goes from the bottom of one side, to the top of the other. I suppose this is the best way to balance its weight but when you open the case, the strap is going diagonal across the opening. Not a big issue.I was a little surprised by the inside of the case. I think my last one had a blue interior and this one is all black. That seems minor but the it was easier to see things against the blue background than the black one. It is also quite rigid inside which seems counterintuitive. Missing is the padded flap for securing the slide. Instead, only one strap holds it. In fact, the strap is a bit too long, meaning that to hold my 3b slide in place, I need to pull the strap so much that there's very little Velcro to use. That said, there a "slot" that the bottom of the slide goes into so your slide won't be bouncing around.I also feel that the overall size is a bit big for my tenor trombone. This case has the capacity to fit a variety of sizes but I think the smaller horns get deprived of a perfect fit.I'm keeping this case. The pluses definitely outweigh the minuses. If I were doing more traveling I might look for something else that really snuggly secures the horn, but I'm usually carrying it myself or its in a car trunk so I think the horn is safe.
