The charge on these lights last forever. And then you can take it and put it in the sun and then it will last forever again. No electricity required. But if you want to speed up the charge, then you can plug it in and charge it. These are very pleasant lights. They are warm lights, not white lights. They’re so easy to use. I am so happy with them. I am even using them in my living room. We had electricity go out and these became the light source and two roots of our house. They last days before you have to charge them again. These are a wonderful back up for electricity outages. And you can use them in the patio and you can use them when you go camping.

I love this light and now take it with me for any camping or car trip. It is so compact, yet provides a very long string of lighting with 3 varying light intensities. It lasts a surprisingly long time, is quick to charge, and is easy to operate. I had this out all night during a long soaking rain and can say confidently it handled it without a problem. The glow of the light is warm and comforting, perfect for campsite lighting. I charge this with another battery pack, or plug it in to AC for an hour, rather than rely on the solar for a full charge, but the solar is a night addition and I'm glad it came with it. The overall design is great and is durable, lightweight, and compact.

I’ve brought the MPOWERD Luci Solar String Lights on a few camping trips, and they’ve been great. I usually attach them to my rooftop tent or Yakima Slim Shady awning, and they provide just the right amount of light for the campsite. The warm white LEDs give off a nice, comfortable glow—not too bright or harsh, which I really like. Charging them is super simple. The solar panel works well during the day, and if I need to, I can charge them with USB before heading out. The built-in power bank has also saved me a couple of times when my phone was running low. They’ve held up really well to outdoor use, including some rain and dirt. Plus, they’re compact and easy to pack. Overall, I’m really happy with these lights and would definitely recommend them for camping or any outdoor setup.

Really cute lights, and a great form factor. I love the dim setting, though I'd like a bit more brightness out of the highest setting. Absolutely a better solution than a dome light for a tent -- I love the diffuse lighting! It offers pass-through charging, which I love so much! That is, from a dead battery, I can plug in a charger and both charge the battery and run the lights! Most USB rechargeable don't offer this. Thank you! That said, I found that battery life was disappointing. I got about 8 hours over 2 days on medium brightness, starting at a full charge. Not a deal breaker by any means, but it does mean that for fall and winter months, I'll have to charge these up after each night.

They delivered early, so I got to take them on my camping trip. Strung them from a tree, to ladder on my trailer, then up and around the door on my RV. They looked so good! Everyone asked where I got them. I ordered the 44 foot one and it seems short so I'm thankful I got the longer set. They hold a charge for a long time. I'd turn them on, on the brightest setting, before sundown and they'd stay lit until I went to bed 6 or 7 hours later. They charge quicker on USB, than solar. Im very satisfied with this purchase, so much so, that I am ordering a second set. They have small yellow clips every few feet, that are just big enough to clip on to the cable. That's how I secured them to tree. Made a loop and stuck it around the branch. Oh, and it rained like crazy most of my trip and these were left in rain, they still work great so it does appear that they are in fact, water resistant. Only downside is, they don't come in a longer string. 44 feet just isn't enough. One bulb every 2 feet. But they are very bright on third setting. Great ambiance!

Great lights! A bit pricey, Has low, med and high feature, charges in the sun or by electric, long enough cord also. Over all happy.

I have several other Mpowered inflatable lantern and candle lights that I take when we go camping. They are one of my favorite things to bring and use. They are reliable and make great conversation starters. They are adequately bright and I don't have to worry about batteries, bulbs, broken mantels or burns with the Luci lights. I'm definitely a fan of the brand. Now that I have my lanterns and candles for task and mood lighting I wanted to create a different element of the atmosphere by having a string of lights around our tent. I was so excited when I saw that MPowered now had string lights. The unit is bulkier and less conducive to an ultralight set up than the other Luci lights due to the base, but I mostly glamp when I camp so I don't mind. I'm happy that there is a cover for the string of lights when you wrap it up for storage. I don't like detangling lights strands. I really hate it when one light going bad ruins the whole strand. Even with the cover, it's still smaller than most other lanterns. The lights are nicely spaced to wrap around and drape over objects and not lose brightness. They also are durable with the insulated/braided cord vs. a vinyl wrapped one. A bonus is a fact that I can get an emergency charge from the base, and the string can be charged via USB. The string of lights produces a low to mid-level shadowless lighting for a nice sized area depending on which brightness setting I choose. If I need a task light, the flashlight mode provides a more focused light stream. The majority of my camping experience is with my family. More often than not, just myself and my tween daughter. I love that all of the Luci lights are kid-friendly and safe, they encourage her participation. The next time I have an evening festival I will be putting these string lights up on my gazebo.

I purchased this particular set of string lights after reading multiple camping reviews online. I recently used them in a six day camping trip where we encountered high heat, torrential rain and high winds. I was nervous that the solar panel case took on too much water and would be damaged but this set of string lights is built to last! I particularly like how compact the unit becomes when it's time to wind it up and put it away. The "string" is a durable cording and the LEDs are protected with a sturdy plastic. It's nice to have three options for brightness. We used and found that the lowest setting was more than enough for our evening needs. I was very pleased with how long they ran for and we never found ourselves without charge, even after leaving them on all night. I'm hopefully this set will last for many camping trips!

Perfekt fürs Camping. Kann aber auch ein Zelt komplett ausleuchten, wenn nötig, in der höchsten Stellung. Auch aufwickeln lässt sich die Lichterkette wunderbar und schnell. Die Anordnung der Lampen ist perfekt ausgerechnet, sie liegen nicht aufeinander, was das Verschließen der Hülle sonst behindern würde. Und in der Hülle sind sie gut geschützt. Und Laden im Auto an einem USB-Gerät funktioniert ebenfalls und recht schnell. Es ist verhältnismäßig selbsterklärend, dennoch schade, dass keine ordentliche Bedienungsanleitung dabei ist. Allerdings die wichtigsten Sachen stehen auf der wunderschönen und sehr stabilen Schachtel. Bitte stets darin lagern und transportieren, wenn nicht geladen werden soll, sie ist ein besonders guter und nachhaltiger Transportschutz. Das Solarmodul wird "schlafen gelegt", was die technische Lebenserwartung verbessert.
