does not hold up to alkaline corrosive liquids...it will eat away the coating...and cause pitting that goes completely through the aluminum. be sure you know what you want to put in the jars or buy the regular metal lids.

Difficult to get these on tight, and Very difficult to get off. They seal well, but if you have trouble removing lids, then these are not the best option. I think it is due to being aluminum, so people with trouble with lids should not use aluminum rings.

I pressure cooked a couple mason jars with these lids and the black coating started to come off.

The lid (not the ring) sits on top of the jar. its like it is too small. the jar rim is not sitting on the rubber part, so the jar leaks. I would not recommend these and i will not be getting them again. very disappointing. they are very cute. i would have purchased more if they worked. Also, the ring does not thread correctly on the jar...some do and some don't.

Used them for a bridal shower. Really nice to arrange the flowers and looked beautiful

Received already scratched out of the box. No way that black coating was going to last. Returned them. (Reviewed after return or I'd have included a picture.)

Was very disappointed with this product. The threading is clearly not universal. I used on ball mason jars and the lid would never lock in place securely.
