Worked wel for piercingl.Did 11 year old daugters ears. I am a nurse practioner so not worried. She had no pain. Practiced on her teddy bear. Had to break plastic off back of earring while it was in her ear would not release. Back of earring came off and got lost. Glad it came in pack of 12 so I could replace it. ,

Even though this item is over-priced; it was painless. And you can reuse the gadgit and piercing earring on yourself. I have 3 holes in each ear.

I used these on my 3 and 1/2 year old daughter - who already had her ears pierced but decided to take out her earrings a year ago. She then decided she wanted them back in but of course the holes had closed. We used ice for maybe 30 seconds on each ear and re-pierced where the original holes were. She didn't even blink let alone not cry. It was so easy I honestly couldn't believe how easy. You have to push the plunger through but it was very easy - and I am fairly squeamish. Very thankful I bought this brand. Thank you!!

Our experience is quite different from some of the other reviewers here, so I wonder if it is our piercer at fault. But I will share my experience anyway.After a lot of research, I finally decided to get my 7 year old's ears pierced at a doctor's office. Big mistake!! This doctor used Coren piercer kit. It hurts like he###! My daughter was very traumatized with this experience! The doctor didn't give us any care instructions and asked us not to touch the ears for a few weeks. So, I never touched it and found puss and blood oozing from one of the ears after a month! When called the doctor, she conveniently asked us to go to our pedi, who immediately removed the earing and prescribed oral antibiotics. The piercing closed within just a day!! The piercing doctor charged us $100 for the piercing and was not ready to deal with us later... what a waste of money for such a painful experience!!After this trauma, she was not ready at all for another piercing and she went by with a lone earring for a whole year. Then on the recommendation of a close friend we decided to get the ear re-pierced at Claire's at the mall. This was the best decision I had ever taken, and I still beat myself up for not doing this the first time around! They are true professionals who know everything about piercing and they are no way comparable to the inexperienced doctors trying to pierce. Claire's also used a sterile disposable kit that came in a closed package. This is much better than Coren as the stud post of Coren is twice as thick as the stud post at Claire's which is what caused a sharp pain when bluntly forced into the ear lobe. At Claire's my daughter didn't even feel the piercing and was surprised to know that the piercing was done without her even feeling anything!! What a huge difference from the earlier trauma!! We were given a cleaning solution and asked to clean the piercing site 2-3 times every day with cotton and the solution and keep rotating the post every time we cleaned. Although my daughter developed infection to the piercing again after we stopped using the solution, the constant re-cleaning and applying neosporin for several days completely healed the ear and now she is a happy little girl enjoying her earings!! And it only costed us a fraction of what the doctor charged us for the trauma! After an year now I still keep checking the ears for any infection and clean with alcohol swab every now and then just to be safe.I highly recommend anyone to go to professional piercers and not doctors to get this job done the right way. Don't traumatize your child with Coren as it is very painful. Also, keep using the cleaning solution as long as possible to avoid infections on sensitive skins like my daughter's.

Was very easy, and priced perfectly. For $27 I received 12 gold plated stud earrings with the piecer tool... for a total of 12. All were sealed in their own individual package, ready for the piercing. The cost was only $2.25 per piercing! Piercing the ear was simple - I had a harder time, which took longer, to make sure my markings were lined up correctly! I'll definitely be back for more. I've also told several friends about this product.

This piercer saved the day! We went to get my daughters ear pierced at the store and they didn't know how to handle children. Long story short she only had one ear done by the time we got home. I found this kit and the directions on line then we did it ourselves. It was so easy and no tears! When the time comes; I will do my other daughters ears at home as well.Edited to add 2 years later I bought two more of these and did my other daughters ears. Who needs to leave the house! I just made sure they were even and then used these... Super easy.

I HAVE HAD ONE OF MY EARS TORN AND HAVE BEEN NEEDING TO PIERCE IT AGAIN FOR A LONG TIME. I CAN NEVER FIND ANYONE TO DO IT FOR A GOOD PRICE AND I HAD BEEN WANTING TO DO ONE FARTHER UP MY EAR, BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DECIDE WHERE TO DO IT. THESE KITS WERE FANTASTIC. SUPER EASY TO USE AND ABSOLUTELY PAINLESS. LOVED IT AND HAVE ORDERED MORE.
