Good little transmitter!
I bought a big TCL UHD TV and a great pair of Sony noise-cancelling headphones 6 months ago, but needed a transmitter to use them together. It's only necessary in the summer when I have A/C and/or various fans running with windows open and cannot hear the TV over ambient noise. I did extensive research, but went back and forth on how much I wanted to spend, how much I needed for 1 set of headphones. This little unit was perfect. The charge lasts for about 12 hours (of use) before it needs at least 2 hours to charge up via USB plug or computer and it cannot be simultaneously charged and used. But that is about how much constant use I get out of the headphones charge, so if you keep track of the charge time, you can charge both overnight. The only problem I had was re-connecting the pair. The instructions said to turn on the unit, then turn on the headphones to search for each other. Perhaps that's just the first time, because every other time when the Avantree claimed to be connected, there's no way to tell what it connected to: the computer, my phone...because it wasn't the headphones. I've found it's easiest to connect the headphones to the transmitter by doing this: turn off my phone's bluetooth, turn on the headphones, then turn on Avantree to have them sync immediately, then turn on the phone bluetooth when I need it. Sound has never lagged, cut out or gotten static-y, even as I move through the house. I have only used it as a transmitter. There are several ways to attach it to the TV; I went with the optic input and have no regrets. I highly recommend this.

Once set-up, product works beautifully to connect TV wirelessly to receiver (2 units)
I purchased these to connect my television to my receiver/sound system wirelessly. The system performs beautifully now, but it was a bit of a challenge to get working properly, perhaps due to a defective optical cable (not the one supplied, but one I had). Now that it is set up, it performs flawlessly. The delay is NOT bad at all, and easily corrected in-set on the television.A few things to note:1) At first, setting one unit as transmitter on my television, and the other as a receiver (on my stereo receiver), I had some trouble getting them to pair, but I put the units close to each other and this problem was solved.2) I still had no audio signal at my stereo receiver. To try to trace the problem back, I first plugged the transmitter into the RCA jacks on my TV and plugged headphones into the receiver (this worked). Next, I plugged the receiver into my amplifier using the RCA plugs (this worked), then tried with the transmitter hooked to the tv optical out (this worked), and finally got it working via the optical cable to my receiver.NOTE: During this process, at one point I had the transmitter broadcasting DIRECTLY to my receiver's bluetooth input --- this was HORRIBLE, with a completely unacceptable delay, but this was the fault of the STEREO RECEIVER, NOT the fault of the Avantree adapter. Using an Avantree Adapter, there is virtually no delay, and it works perfectly.Moral to the story - if you experience a delay, it is likely to your bluetooth receiving unit delay, and not due to the Avantree products. You can, if you want, purchase a second Avantree unit as a headphone/stereo bluetooth receiving unit, and this will solve your delay problem.A+ for the product. This is exactly what I was looking for!

Works like Magic but one issue
Everything about this product works as Intended. All wires are included in the box for any use case. This would have been a 5 star review instead of a 4 star if changing the volume wasn’t a task. Currently to change the volume you have to manually click the + or - on the box which is connected to the Tv for my case. This means I have to get up and walk up to my tv to change the volume which is annoying. I wish there was a remote of some sort to change the volume.Other than that it works great and connection is strong. If they release a new version with a remote I would definitely prefer that instead !

Doesn't work as advertised & poor return policy.
I ordered this for our household for christmas. I finally got around to installing it on our TV, to soundbar and to use the bluetooth on it for headphones. The sound didn't work at all. Not on the TV and not on the BT headphones.Plus, I just found out I can't return it since it has a 30 day from day of purchase return policy.Save your money and stay away from this piece of junk.
