Most definitely one of the best game consoles ever made !!! Are the crime of its release , was more advanced than some others . A large library of great games . Sega is one of the best game developers in the gaming world. Dreamcast was their last console. It is well-made. The controllers are of excellent quality. If you are a Sega fan and you crave great games with arcade quality graphics and sounds, then this is the console to buy.

It powers on but doesn't display anything. I tried it with the AC outputs on my TV as well as thru the HDMI converter and neither works. Very disappointed to say the least.

I bought this because my old Dreamcast had some trouble playing certain titles. Some games always ran (Spawn, Marvel Versus Capcom 2), but others (Shenmue, Jet Grind Radio, D-2, even good ol’ Crazy Taxi in latter days) displayed issues. Because my old Dreamcast and games were used in the first place, I wasn’t really sure if it was a problem with the game(s) or the system itself, but after considering that the (old) system came from a non-Amazon store that has since proven to be somewhat unreliable, I decided to order this Amazon Renewed product. My renewed Dreamcast arrived promptly, and in great working condition. After hooking it up and testing out some of my favorite games, I can safely say that the problem I had was in my old system. I no longer get a black screen or instantly brought back to the home screen after starting a disc, and I no longer play in fear of the game crashing unexpectedly or have to insert a good disc 20 < times before it plays. With my Model 1 Genesis, this is my second successful purchase of vintage Sega hardware from this seller.

I think a battery in charge of memory storage may be dead inside the unit since it can't remember the date, but she'll run 30 hours before quitting.

Unfortunately I had to replace my original system. I was skeptical buying a renewed Dreamcast from Amazon. However, I received my unit and it works great. So nice to play this classic system again!

As advertised... "Product has been professionally inspected, tested"? No way this product was tested as it was shipped. The optical drive was missing several parts and the laser eye had been glued in place not even in its home position. These parts had to be intentionally removed or the product was not inspected or tested at all. Either way, unacceptable and won't risk anything like this again. Only since I know what is wrong with it, I'm not sending it back because I can fix it for about $125.00. And if I exchanged it the probability of other things being wrong with the replacement are high, I am not willing to risk it. Therefore, I would NOT recommend this purchase to anyone.
