New KanzenMaster N2 choukai Listening with 2 CD (Japanese Edition)

I must say that all the books arrived in a good state except this one that has a little fold downward in the corner and some pages too. I think that might be because of the distance between Mexico and Japan hehe. But everything is fine! I'm good with my books! :D

This book is for N2, so the listening practice is at native speed, but it's great listening practice for the JLPT! Would definitely recommend this book.

This book is not very useful. Despite being produced by a well-appointed publishing operation, if you don't already excel at listening to rapid-fire Japanese speech, these cd's and written notes will simply feel like being run over by a garbage truck. For some of the questions, transcripts are given in the book, but translations are never provided, so if you do not already understand the strange sound effects of spoken Japanese, you are out of luck. Also, some of the dialogues are spoken at lightning speed, so listening to the dialogues is like trying to decipher REM lyrics; you might listen 20 times and still have not the faintest idea what words are being spoken; the cd's do not provide a slower version to help you get your bearings, and there are no test-taking tips that you can use to decipher the words of these characters, some of whom sound like they have cotton in their mouths. Sometimes I think books like this are put out by high-priced tutors as a secret plot to make you feel that learning on your own is impossible.

This book has very good listening exercises that help you catch what the test usually tries to "trick" you with. Furigana is included in the textbook and the instructions are simple enough that even I can understand them! Recommended for N2 applicants.

Fantastic book!

聴解試験で点をとるためのコツが順を追って学べると思います。5つの形式の問題でどの部分を聴き取ればいいのかがよく分かり、多少分からない単語があっても思考を止めずに聞き続ける習慣が身につきます。教える側も受験者に点を取らせるための教え方ができるようになります。聴解試験の部分が18点だった人が、これを使って教えた結果、31点取れ、N2に合格しました。

説明も詳しく、スモールステップで力がつきそうです。もう少し 模擬テストの量を増やしてほしいです。
