A nice acoustic electric at a decent price.
I received this guitar as a gift for Christmas 2016. It's cosmetically nice and the silver burst happens to match an Epiphone SG I have.Overall, the guitar has solid construction and a good sound. The stock strings are fine. I don't recall the brand strings, but it is a major brand and is documented in the paperwork with the guitar. The sound is good from the start, and the neck needed no adjustments once I tuned the guitar and it had a day or two to settle in. It holds tuning perfectly in my air conditioned house. The stock saddle and nut are plastic, so I replaced them both with bone, which enriched the depth of the sound at a minimal expense. This brought out a deeper tone and refined the higher tones, although I managed to introduce a slight buzz when I miscut one saddle.Overall I'm very pleased with the guitar.

Lifted strings
Nice look but the strings are lifted off higher than would like, even after we adjusted the strings

Fooled
Was a junior guitar meant for a kid not an adult. Description was misleading

excellent guitar and build quality
Got this back in November black Friday deal for less than $150. I would say this is an excellent guitar not just for beginners, great sound, body is made from mahogany so no surprise there. Fret board is easy to play, strings are close to fret board so it does not hurt fingers. I bought this for my daughter 14 years old and she loves it so much, now she plays guitar really well. And it looks really nice too with the blue finish.

Love it
Just a beginner but I love this guitar. Easier to play than my first guitar (borrowed from my son). Sounds great, even my son who has been playing for years thinks so. Looks great, stays in tune, plays nicely

It's a great guitar for the price
I bought this guitar at a pawn shop a month ago. First look, the hard shell is very clear considering how thick it is. The enamel is full wrap around, giving it tough tanky feel. The neck is about a medium C. I have smallish hands, but I have no trouble fretting anywhere from 10-18. Straight acoustic, the tone with new EB Earthwoods is bright but not twangy. The tone is near middle between bright country and muddy rock, so it does both well enough...though it leans more Red Jumpsuit Apparatus than Florida Georgia Line. I mean, it is a Dean, after all. With the pre-amp hot, this is an even more flexible guitar. The adjustments are well balanced. You can easily emulate most acoustic sounds by rebalancing the HML adjustments. The built-in tuner is good enough to tune brand new strings or to touch up on stage. Pickups are pretty smooth and didn't need any tightening into the head or tension adjustment. The body is standard sized, so it's much more comfortable standing on a stage than a dreadnought IMO. That's it. It's a great guitar.
