It became apparent to me that I needed some kind of coverup when I go outside to get the morning papers.I somehow got on a linen bathrobe kick.I liked the Karate look and elegance.However, there were two problems.One, the price was $150-$200 or more.Two, the sizes were uncertain.Was a large in Japan the same as large in America?-I am 6'1'’ and 265 pounds.One thing stood out was my confidence in this product’s sizing.The men’s XXL was perfect for me.I did not have to worry about understanding foreign country sizing.I did not have to worry about understanding whether it was men’s or woman’s sizing.This alone is worth many stars.-However, it gets much better. I was vacillating between the gray and black.I gambled for the gray. I am very happy that I did. The color and texture are very Karate.When I put it on, and tie it with a square knot, I feel very Japanese.Here, it gets even better.It is $200 less expensive than alternate products, but the quality is just as good or better.The only problem is, I think some people are beginning to tire of hearing my raves about how wonderful I think my new bathrobe is.RJ

I got this robe for my guy for Christmas. I gave it to him as an early Christmas present this year.... My only advice to you, is to be exceedingly careful when you wash it. I have only washed it once so far, and it has already shrunk and I followed the directions as it said to. Don't get me wrong, he loves the robe, but is not happy that it has already shrank, especially when it wasn't supposed to when someone follows the directions to a T. I am somewhat "happy" with this product.. Just wished it wouldn't have done that, but, I am happy in the fact that it is made out of good sturdy, heavy, and warm material.

Perfect sizing. 2x fitting well on 240lb 6ft with a tummy. Closes completely in front and falls mid calf. My guy gets warm so I opted for cotton waffle weave instead of polyester fleece. Fabric was a little stiff so I washed on cold with plenty of fabric softner and hung to dry to avoid shrinking and it softened up. I think a bit of low heat with dryer sheets next time might soften it up a bit more. He is pleased with this robe. Sleeve length is great too. I personally get annoyed when my robe sleeves get in the way while cooking, washing dishes etc.

My husband loves this! I got it as a gift for him. He says it is cool and comfy thanks to the cotton fabric and it is both long enough for his 6’1” self and big enough (got an XL) for his giant shoulders (football player). He rarely can find one that fits and this does!

I am a fairly tall guy, and have fairly long arms(Dress shirt sleeve 36/37). The sleeves on this robe are pretty short, they also have the very proverbial wizard sleeve effect (which can cause your robe to get wet when washing your hands). The fabric is very comfortable and is resistant to pulls. Its also a light to medium weight fabric so it will not make you too hot if you are wearing it over your pajamas.

I ordered two of the XXL thinking that they would shrink. They didn’t shrink. I’m approx 5’9” and medium build so they are quite large on me, however I don’t fault the manufacturer. The robes look and feel great. The seams and sewing are great as well. No loose threads or sloppy sewing. I recommend this product especially for the price. They don’t look like a $22 robe, they look like a $50 robe. Highly impressed.

The belt loops are mid chest and very awkward. If you are taller than 5’ this will be uncomfortable. I had to move the belt loops down about 6 inches, and I had to move the pockets down as well. I should’ve spent the extra $5 and purchased a better quality one.

I have a few cotton terry cloth robes. Perfect for right out of the shower. But been shopping for a robe for months that was different. Something a little lighter to ware around the house but not light weight. Looked at robes in stores in my travels all the time. Didn't find anything that I liked at all. Either I found big bold prints that looked childish or robes made with a mix of polyester or even all poly. I started to think doesn't anyone make a nice simple robe anymore? This robe was perfect right out of the box. It had a feel of luxury. Something maybe a high end hotel would have for you in your room. Love it. Might buy another color too.
