Great testing things

Needed a simple meter to check continuity and couldn’t help but find everyone recommending meters that cost $200+. That’d be a complete waste for simple around-the-house troubleshooting. Found this and it does more than enough for a more than reasonable price. The only annoyance was putting in the batteries, which the Included instructions and online manual didn't explain how to do it at all, had to watch a YouTube video. But hopefully those shouldn’t have to be changed for a few years.

Working just fine! Using it to test ohms in a model train application. I guess the company redesigned access to the battery compartment which is two screws now instead of a type of difficult-to-remove gasket, the subject of many negative reviews.

Very easy to use. Backlight is easy to operate and goes off by itself -- so not battery drain. Every bit as good as the "pro" units that cost much more. Just remember to get batteries, which don't come with the unit. Even so, well worth the price.

This is a newer version of the older GD-190 multimeter. It is slightly larger than the older unit, which was somewhat easier to store in a toolbox. It is a basic unit not designed for very technical applications, but for simple electrical testing it is fine.

Tested battery and easy to use and accurate

I received this product, looked up the manual on the product's website and tried to install a battery (9-volt) which is not included. It says to remove the boot to reveal the test unit. The boot is made of an almost very tough plastic which makes it impossible to get to the test unit without damaging the boot. I am returning this product. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. In fact, I'd rate it zero if I could. Very disappointed in the design.

I mostly use it as an ohms meter for guitar pickups and it agrees with my other meters so it seems to be good and it's not too expensive or complicated

Works very well for occasional use. I can see it not being robust enough for professional use. But that's ok I am using it occasionally.

Used it to read the Milivolts of the pilot assembly on a gas fired Jandy Pool Heater and it worked fine. being able to read the millivolts let us know how it required service. thank You Bud

All I need in a multi-meter for home use. Easy to use & well built as expected from Gardner Bender.

Ce multimètre est pratique et solide mais le mode auto amène régulièrement de la confusion lors de l'utilisation, c'est un irritant plutôt désagréable.
