On the coldest horseback ride of my life, these things kept me alive....at least in the toes!
I bought these things as a late night impulse purchase. Not going to lie....kind of pricey just to keep the feet warm. My husband grumbling the whole time about it as I reminded him my blood flow is horrible to my toes. He let it go eventually, and I'm thankful he did.WELL, I decided to pop them on just before an early morning horseback ride at only 17 degrees with the wind blowing around 35mph. The only smart decision i made as i left in jeans, a columbia jacket, baseball hat, and a scarf. Everyone else showed up in coveralls and winter coats. I noticed immediately after we took off on our horses around 3am that the wind was biting cold. I mean within minutes every part of my body was numb. I lost feeling in my cheeks, lips and ears, and had to wrap my scarf several times around my head quickly. I knew the next two hours was going to be rough. Ten minutes in, my hips and butt were frozen to the saddle and aching so bad from the chill---to the bone pain. An hour in, I became quite dizzy from the chill and felt like going to sleep or falling from the horse. At this point I stopped talking to others as I feared they would catch on to my demise and make me turn around or call an ambulance. After laughing at me some I imagine. I was one of the youngest of the group and clearly the least prepared (except for my socks and scarf) so I stubbornly refused to quit. I made the ride, but by the time we got off our horses I couldn't feel my backside, hips, thighs, arms, hands, and face. The only reason my hands didn't have frostbite is because I intermittently would have to stick them against the skin off my bare chest. Talk about cold touch. For five hours after I sat trying to warm up after, involuntarily shivering in the heat as the cold drew away from my bones. The people in the group asked if I was going to be ok. I pondered my life choices for a while. I thought about how cold I was and what parts of my body weren't hurting so horribly bad as they warmed up. I pondered the parts that didnt ache and it was then I realized that just my toes and feet were HOT. Like really, really warm. I hadn't even thought about them the entire way. Usually, my toes are the first thing to hurt. It was just so miserable that i hadnt realized how good my feet were really feeling. There was one part of me that could keep going for hours more--- My feet! I believe to this day the heat generated from those socks kept me awake and going for the ride instead of slumped over my horse as my friends would've likely called for help after taking a picture of my dumb self. So thank you, socks. It's not our little secret anymore but it's real as it comes. On a side note, if you want your socks to last for longer then put them in a lower setting. On high these bad boys lasted just over two hours but I'm thankful they did. Saved my hide that day. Also, if you're wondering....yes, I learned my lesson.

Worth it!
Really love these socks! I live in the midwest and got these for during outdoor bootcamps and running in below freezing winter temps. I was sticking hot hands in my socks but it was super uncomfortable and an expense to keep buying them so I finally decided to splurge on heated socks. A friend in my workout group had gotten Snow Deer socks as a Christmas gift and highly recommended them. I also found a review in Travel and Leisure magazine that recommended this brand as your "splurge" purchase.I'm so glad I purchased them. I have Raynaud's in my feet, they sting and go numb pretty quickly even if I double up and wear wool socks. These socks keep me super comfortable without causing my feet to sweat like crazy. The 3 settings are great and work easily. You can feel the wiring in them when you first put them on and put on your shoes but after a minute of walking around I don't notice it anymore. They're so comfortable, I often get back from a walk or workout and leave them on for a while. So far, the lowest temps I've worn them in are single digits, 7-9 degrees and they've worked great. To wash I remove the batteries, put the caps back on the wires and hand wash them. I got the Medium as it sounded like the Small was for kids/teens or people with really small feet. I wear a women's 8-9 in shoes and the Medium is a little tight around my legs. I definitely could have gone with a Large. A benefit of the snug fit - These always stay up, I've never had to pull them back up they stay in place during a run or workout. I've worn them over my running tights or under.Overall super happy with my purchase and would recommend these - I actually have recommended them to friends already. You'll wish you bought them sooner!

So far, so good folks
Ok, look here folks. I was sitting outside this morning in socks and slides. I said to myself I need to put shoes on my feet, it's nippy out this morning. Then bright ideal pop into my head (hey brain you have new heated socks that came in mail couple days ago... Use you brain guy) So look here, I put the socks on, they heated my feet up with slides on, not trapping heat in... Amazingly warmed them right up. So I put boots on to trap heat in and the warmed up on low trapping heat in, felt amazing. But look here folks, the last couple of days it's been raining, so I haven't been on my motorcycle yet. I'm waiting for it to get cold. Once I ride I'll update my review either add star, leave same, or take away stars. Folks, so far socks are a nice material, packing was nice, box is nice. Now folks the box says "Any quality or size problems, feel free to contact us". Now folks, that's a thumbs up for SNOW DEER. I hope it's super cold when I try these things out. I'm put them to the test and let you folks know...I got a good feeling about these things. So far, go SNOW DEER! If these things work out like I think they will, I'll be ordering all my heated gear from SNOW DEER. I'm quit sure my riding buddies will too. Wish I new about these socks years ago...game changer folks.

My daughter used these socks for skiing and found them amazing. She has always had poor circulation and cold feet and found these very warm even on the lowest setting. We had a issue with the battery pocket and the issue was immediately resolved.Very happy with these socks and the excellent service.

Best socks ever!
Why did I suffer all these years ! I work out in the elements all winter, the average temperature is -30 C !I no longer have cold feet ! I use them on the lowest setting and they last my 8 hour shift. Take note they are tight in the calf !Work great in my ski boots as well ;)

Perfect purchase!
They were a little tight around the calf. I would order a size up from normal for next time. Excellent to keep my toes warm on freezing winter days. Will recommend.

Love these socks!
These socks provide tons of heat and make any winter sport much more enjoyable. I use them ice fishing and skiing mostly and only turn on the heat for a few minutes if my feet get cold but the socks themselves are good enough that I don't have to use the heat often. Long battery life which will last an entire ski day on low which is all you need. If you get extra batteries they will fit im the same pocket of the socks as the ones in use so it's great for emergency situations. So worth the money

I would buy again.
Bought for skiing. Work as described and work well. Inside a ski boot , adjustment is required so that the toe seam for the heating element doesn’t cause pressure points. Would be OK inside regular winter boots. Battery system is great.
