Very powerful for the christian who seeks to walk in truth and in SPirit and in obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit. For the one who God has offered up to satan, that He would purge your flesh that His Spirit would live freely through....this book is a must read but only by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Many think they are under attack from satan because they are righteous...when in reality they are under judgement because of disobedience.

Are you a Christian? Do you think God allows difficulties into your life to test you and give you opportunity to grow in Him? He did Job.

First, if you are going to read this book be prepared to be transported back to the turn of the century, the 19th to the 20th Century! 1902. You will find the presentation and prose much different from today's writings.I found the exegesis of Job to be splendid in all its efforts. The depth of the investigation is too deep to delve into in a review but I am sure this small book will open some eyes and hearts to "ideas" that may be hidden to the bound spirit. We might come to recognize the 'battle' or 'conflict' we partake in if we chose Life or, even as we may not, the other side which assuredly leads to something else.As I read this I am also reading a John Stuart Mill offering called 'On Liberty' and find the two together very provoking.If you believe in God and His Son then "The Story of Job" will really speak to you about the necessity to 'be still' and to desire great discernment. Simply a remarkable book that offers us a glimpse of the battlefield.

Loved this so much, will be buying a copy to send to a friend; most excellent read of Job ever, and true to Scripture and covers areas you have never heard mentioned. Penn-Lewis can always be counted on for a great expository writing in a highly understandable presentation.
