PattyBoutik Women's Boat Neck Ribbed Asymmetrical Sweater

When I saw this on Amazon, I thought, "OH my god, I HAVE to have that!!"This is the softest, most comfortable (non-heavy and not too light) sweater I've ever felt. I got a large so it wouldn't be super tight and show off my muffin top. It fits great!! I just didn't like how long it is in the front. But, it's so beyond comfy, I was going to wear it anyway.Then, I thought, I wonder what it would be like if I put it on backwards and now I am SO in love with this sweater!!! Since it's one size larger than I'd normally buy and the style of the neck is cut wide, down the shoulders a bit, it doesn't feel backwards at all. It's not tight across my chest or anything. In fact, I think it looks even better backwards. The long front and the way it's cut, drapes perfectly over the top of my butt. Plus, the ribs on the sweater are diagonal on the back and that's accentuated and awesomely noticeable when it's in the front.I dunno, call me weird, but if you don't quite like the long front, try it backwards. I'm DEFINITELY wearing this tomorrow!!!

I've ordered several tops from PattyBoutik and have never before had any trouble with the size. I've always been a pretty perfect size medium. But this one is waaay too small. The medium was able to fit me through the body, though only just. The sleeves were uncomfortably tight and too short, as you can see in the photos. The back is also too short. The highest point of the back just brushed the top of my pants when I was standing, but as soon as I sat it exposed several inches of skin. If this was a casual summer top worn in warm weather, that might be tolerable. But as this is a winter sweater that I was hoping to wear in my workplace, it's not acceptable.I considered exchanging for a larger size to see if that would solve the problem, but the size info says that'd only give me another half-inch of length, which isn't going to cut it. I also tried wearing it backwards, as another review on here suggests. Doing that did solve the exposed back problem, but I found that the neckline does have more shaping than that review indicated, and wearing it backwards-while possible-isn't actually that comfortable.I really wanted to like this sweater, but it just doesn't work. I returned it.

Really loved this one. I hope you get the wine color in size small soon! I wanted to come back and elaborate on this review since I'm not as rushed. I had a top made very similar to this. It was also in a light gray... but the boat neck is what made it so wonderful and sexy. I literally wore that top out. That one was in a lighter cotton material vs the luscious soft light ribbed sweater knit of this one, which I just LOVE. It's the perfect weight. The boat neck is really one of the most flattering necklines there is, IMO. It has to fit tight enough so no excess material destroys the neckline. You don't want any drape near the neckline or you lose the sexy line that frames your face. So if you don't love it may be not flat and tight enough above the bust. Yes, you can wear this with the curve either in front or back. It looks wonderful both ways. I hope so much that the wine color comes back in small. I'm begging you! haha. This is a gorgeous soft medium weight quality top I would recommend to every woman in every shape and size. Because some of Patty's tops vary a bit, I always appreciate sizing information so here's mine. I'm 32 DD, weight is 118-122 & 5' 6" tall. I think due to my bust size I got the perfect fit in small. I'm not curvy and don't have a small waist, rather I'm built more straight up and down. I own about 20 Patty pieces and this ranks at the top of my favorites. BTW,.. I just washed tonight.. gentle cycle, lay flat to dry. PERFECT!! I really do believe sizing is everything because a boat neck fitted right flatters like no other. I've purchased other boat necks that didn't look good because they didn't lay right- too big on top which ruins the look. Before you return, think about exchanging for a smaller size as long as the bottom part wouldn't be too tight.Thank you Patty and Amazon! Don't forget to bring the wine shade in small for me! Very SOON, pretty please? Yes, I'm persistent and very redundant. I'm looking at the black-- but more than half my closet is already lined in black tops, skirts, jackets, pants, dresses.. entire wardrobe basically. I don't really look good in teal. A darker gray, true lipstick red and my true dream- a cream color would be wonderful ,, just amazing!! I'll buy them all without hesitation.
