Safely lose weight with this combined Tai Chi and Kung Fu workout. In Fusion Fire, Master teacher David-Dorian Ross leads you through a powerful workout blending tai chi movements and a series kung Fu kicks and punches. Filmed next to crashing Hawaiian waves, this is an invigorating mind-body workout that can rapidly transform your health. Fusion Fire is the integration of tai chi and kung fu, a fusion of the internal and external together. This is one of the more intense workouts in our series, so be prepared to sweat! If you are looking for a cardio workout appropriate for your weight loss program, Fire is perfect for anyone, with no prior experience. Although Intensity is the main principle we learn in this workout, you don’t have to go faster, squat deeper or perfect any balance moves. In fact, you don’t have to perfect any moves at all! As we always say in these programs: you don’t have to learn or memorize anything. Just do what you see. Follow along without analyzing, and you’ll find yourself in the flow, refreshed and energized. DVD plays worldwide, all regions, region-free.

Easy and fun. Keeps the workout interesting!!
Great workout for me as a Tai Chi beginner!! I love David Dorian-Ross' method of teaching and recommend it for anyone looking for a great Tai Chi workout that is easy to follow. I can visually follow the workout even without the sound. One of my friends who works out with me is hearing impaired, and the way this video is done is perfect for her to follow along!! I love this and every David Dorian-Ross video that I have purchased.

Fusion Fire a fun intro to Tai Chi
The YMAA DVD “Tai Chi Fusion: Fire” is actually a beginner-level workout that works with multiple repetitions of just a handful of traditional tai chi postures but in a fun, playful way. Presenter David-Dorian Ross makes the workout accessible with his light-hearted personality. Not a workout for traditionalists or purists, but not everyone has to be a die-hard fan of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts to dip their toes in the waters of Tai Chi.As a longtime player and instructor, I found Ross’ twists on the postures of Cloud Hands, Single Whip and Snake Creeps Down interesting, and his admonition to viewers to just follow along and not worry about which foot is where or what posture is what is an interesting way to get beginners “doing” Tai Chi without thinking too much about doing it.I was curious about the “fusion” part, but there isn’t a lot of Shaolin or hard-style kung fu added into the workout — there’s a front kick with punch (the Cross Kick) and some front punches - sort of a cross between the Eight Pieces movement “Clench Fists and Glare” and the second road of the Tan Tui form, minus the walking.Over all I’d recommend the DVD to people looking to experience qigong or tai chi but who don’t want to try and learn an actual form, at least not at first. The “play and forget” format can be helpful for seniors who perhaps have a weekly tai chi class but want something to do in between class sessions. The cover states the workout is a way to lose weight, and I am a bit dubious of that claim due to the lack of difficulty of the moves and the short duration of the workouts — but any motion is good motion if you’ve been sedentary!

I am enjoying the workouts with David Gurion-Ross-Ross.
These workouts are easy to follow; the audio is very distinct.

Not his best effort.
This seemed simplistic and repetitive compared to most of his videos.

Too short and very disappointing
I've been doing Tai Chi short form for years, and wanted to add something a little different. This is not it. The 9 minute warm up is actually not too bad, then there is a 9 minute teaching segment, and the segment with the "kung fu" added is all of 11 minutes. If you want to spend 11 minutes doing wave hands like clouds with a couple of kicks and punches thrown in, then this would be for you. This is not even as strenuous as my regular tai chi.

Kick it up a notch....gently.
If you love Tai Chi, but would like a bit more of a punch to your workout, this is for you. David-Dorian Ross seamlessly blends both Tai Chi and Kung Fu together, this giving you that extra energy your workout might be missing. This workout DVD is broken down into mini workouts to fit into the busy day....or you can enjoy the entire program. Just remember to keep smiling.

Easy to follow exercise
This DVD is really good fun. It is easy to follow, although a bit challenging here and there, and has kept me happily occupied.

Well disappointed!
The video does not work though it states ‘all regions’. Amazon UK should take responsibility for this and not sell products that do not work in the UK.

Amazing view in Hawaii, so relaxing....
I love this workout. It's only the 2nd Tai chi dvd that I have and I really like the instructor. However, I was a bit dissapointed because in the back of the casing, it says that it's 60minutes. In reality, workout 1 is only 9 minutes and workout 2 is only 11 minutes and warm up and cool down together are about 15 minutes, so in reality, the whole thing is 35 minutes. BUT still, I LOVE the location and would buy others from Mr. Ross especially with beautiful oceans and outside locations.
