Madame Pamplemousse and the Time-travelling Cafe

My child and I both loved this book series.

This is such a good book! My daughter and I read it together for homeschool and she loves the whole series!

We bought this book after reading the first one that we borrowed from the library, "Madame Pamplemousse and the Incredible Edible". His books are so wonderfully fantastic, such a joy to read for children & adults alike! (I enjoyed reading it every bit as much as my 7-year-old daughter)Highly recommended.

My 9 year old is a picky reader, but devours these books. They are her all time favorite. Usually she would rather read a magazine, Food Network or American Girl than many of the girl oriented books on the market, other than the Frannie K. Stein series when she was in 2nd grade, or now in 4th grade Ellie McDoodle and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. She loves the humor and excitement of the Madame Pamplemousse adventures originally set in Paris. These books would make a great movie. They show much imagination and creativity in thinking. She rereads them and can't wait to read the third one in this growing series.

My daughter and I are HUGELY enjoying the first M.P. book (Incredible Edibles). I went to add the other two to my Kindle and ran into a glitch with this one. The cover art is the same as the first book, so I had two of the same covers. The interiors were correct, but it made it confusing to figure which book to read (and bugged the perfectionist side of me!) Amazon contacted me within an hour of my email, gave me a refund and removed the book. I was told they will email me when the cover issue is fixed (I hope soon, we are cruising through book one). Just double check the cover art before you hit download!

What an imaginative way to continue the incredible stories of Mme Pamplemousse and her little fellow. A real delight! ...

We love these books. The first one we read was Madame Pamplemousse and her most incredible edible. Incredible edible sets the scene really but you can read time travelling cafe and still understand the characters and story.I was looking for a transitional book to promote self reading for my 7yr old daughter with incredible edible. We still read to each other as well. It was so good we got this book - time tavelling cafe and are waiting to read enchanted sweet shop.Time travelling cafe is full of surprises and a bit nail biting in places. As in our other reviews our one chapter a night sometimes turned into two because we couldn't wait to find out what was coming next.This book was great for bed time reading either me to her or visa versa. What was really great was that if she has started to pick the book up and read it to herself! Thank you Rupert Kingfisher.

My daughter enjoyed reading this. She found the story so engaging and finished it really quickly.

My 8yr old daughter loves these books, she has read all 3 and is hoping Rupert will write a fourth. She is dyslexic and these books are great. They are beautifully written without being bogged down in too much prose. The stories are interesting without being overly eleborate thus allowing the child to following the narrative.I would highly recommend these books for 7-10 year olds. By far my daughters favourite books.

Another hit with my son who is definitely more of a boys boy. However, he loved the plot, characters and adventures, Any more is difficult to get out of him....! Except that he would like the full collection
