Proviable DC for Cats and Dogs, 80 Capsules

My cat has IBD and although I have tried probiotics before, they never fully stopped the diarrhoea. However after finding Proviable DC my cat has been totally different. Although she is 9yrs old she now runs about like a kitten. The diarrhoea has completely gone and she looks so much healthier, her coat is lovely and soft.She has 1 capsule every day and I just break the capsule open and sprinkle it on her food. The vet asked me the other day for the name of these capsules, so that she can recommend them to someone else with a cat who has IBD.

My cat was diagnosed with IBD this last year (after many Vet visits/tests/meds), and was put on steroids for the foreseeable future. While the Vet prescribed a fairly low daily dose (2mg), the recommendation was to reduce this if at all possible. We tried, but within a few days of the reduced meds she'd have another "episode", so we reverted back to the original dose. Now, anyone who has a pet on steroids will know that they'll start putting on weight, and she was getting a bit porky.After a little internet research, probiotics came up time & again as a possible complimentary addition to her meds, as well as a change in diet. The diet thing takes a while to have any noticeable effect, though she did seem better on allergen-free foods (although she's not keen on them!)Proviable DC seemed, from reviews, to be the Holy Grail of probiotics, and was certainly more highly recommended than plenty of other products. But, it doesn't seem to be available at all (other than online imports) in the U.K. (why is that, does anybody know?), and certainly my vet had never heard of it.So I took the plunge & ordered a bottle. My cat has been on them now for abaout 6 weeks and is noticeably much better. She's lively, alert, her toilet duties are more regular and "solid", and we've been able to halve her steroid prescription now to 1mg a day with, so far, not an "episode" in sight.So, for me at least (and for my cat it seems), a wonderful product. Whether it's coincidence or a combination of Proviable and diet change I don't know, but either way my cat seems so much happier and comfortable, so I won't hesitate in ordering another (larger) supply.
