A kids worst nightmare
I hadn't seen parents since the early 90's but it was a movie that has always stuck with me. Certain scenes, the camera angles, the music and the strange feeling had all stuck with me throughout the years. This is a very unique film, it feels like it has been designed to terrify children. The idea of your parents being the threat is terrifying, especially as they are the ones who look after and protect children. The 50's setting adds an air of oddness that is only highlighted by the low angles and the unknown behaviour of the parents.I think parents is particularly well done film that reignited those feelings of dread that i had as a kid.
