Loved Emma and Carson!
4.5 stars. I really loved the majority of this book, starting from the beginning towards the end. Emma and Carson weaved their way into each other's hearts and I couldn't help but want everything to go right for them. They had been friends for so many years even though it was mostly under the subtext of client and customer but every time they were together, it was easy to feel that there was so much more on both sides, the love was that palpable. Neither of them hid their feelings, they just never said anything outright to the other and assumed nothing more. I enjoyed both Emma and Carson's characters. Emma takes her responsibilities seriously and she does the best that she can with daily survival. She's not proud of her job as a lap dancer, but it's either that or no job. She knows what the public perception of her occupation is and figures that she can't ask for much. Carson is a famous race car driver who is a genuinely nice guy. He doesn't see Emma as a lap dancer, he sees her as a girl that he finds very attractive and fascinating. I adored Carson and the way he respected Emma, however they have definite boundaries in their "relationship" with lines that haven't been crossed although other lines definitely have been. Neither seems to know how the other person really feels even though the actions say it all. Emma has a secret and when it gets exposed, that changes everything for the both of them. Suddenly Carson is not the same guy as in the beginning of the book. I was trying to figure out his angle besides the obvious reason for his shift in behavior and eventually I got it. The depth of emotion is strong, I loved that. Towards the end, although parts were predictable, I think the depth of that emotion waned a bit. Otherwise, I thought this was a great book. Emma and Carson weather some tough situations, especially Emma, and despite whatever tension they had between each other, they were amazing about supporting the other person. One thing that really bothered me was Emma's nickname for Carson, "baby." She used it frequently and it just didn't fit with the context of the story or their relationship. They weren't an established couple even if the intimacy was nearly there, especially with the amount of times that Emma used it. It appeared to be unrequited love on her behalf. Another side note is that this story takes place in England. Except for the fact that the monetary currency is in pounds and the occasional use of the word "sod" or "sodding" by Carson, I really didn't hear their voices or language mimicking that of the British, they sounded very American the whole time.

Such a great story!!!
4.5 Stars. I almost always look at the ratings of a book before I read it. I also sometimes read a few reviews before hand. I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did according to the ratings and reviews. This really was a great story. It may not have been exactly how reality plays out, but it is a book, a story wrote from the authors imagination and how she wants it to come across to the readers. I was on an emotional roller coaster reading this book. My heart broke for Emma. After what she had to suffer from her parents, how she made a living, having to raise her brother, and her secret, I really did not think things could get any worse for her. Then we get to when Carson reacted to her secret and I lost it. I literally felt her pain, rejection, heartbreak, etc... I totally understood why he was angry, but the things he said broke me. It was very obvious from the beginning Carson and Emma had something special even if they didn't realize it or make it known to the each other. I just really love a story that I can feel the connection with MC's, it just makes it that much more enjoyable. I do have a couple of complaints. I did not like all of the miscommunication and non communication. It made for a lot of unnecessary drama. I also felt the ending was rushed after everything that happened and how it happened. Those are the reasons I did not give it a 5 star rating. I highly recommend this book regardless of preferable genre, you not be disappointed.

A LAP DANCER AND A FAMOUS RACING CAR DRIVER. LOVED IT!"!
A LAP DANCER AND A FAMOUS RACING CAR DRIVER.Oh, boy, did I love the angst in this...I got frustrated with the characters and anxious when things weren't going the way I wanted them to, I was on edge and couldn't turn the pages fast enough, so you could say I bloody loved it, I'm an angst whore lolA bit about the plot:Emma lives with her brother and daughter. Emma was pregnant at 16, a result of a one night stand and was kicked out by her parents and her brother who is also a teen who left with her to support her.To make a living Emma works in a lap dancing bar, serving tables and does lap-dances.For three years Emma has grown to know Carson Matthews the famous racing car driver who comes into the club whenever he is in town and always asks for Emma and they go into the back room. Emma normally only does lap dances but for Carson, she makes an exception. Emma has grown to love Carson but what would a racecar driver want with a lap-dancer what shame would that bring to his career, Emma just accepts that it is what it is...A three-year relationship within the confines of a lap dancing club. Carson is sweet and caring, treats Emma like she is his one an only whenever he visits until he leaves the club and Emma only gets glimpses of him on the t.v or in the paper where he is photographed with models and beautiful girls on his arm.A great story with secrets that the characters hold back along with twists and turns along the way.A Cinderella type story that I couldn't get enough of, I adored both characters, I wished Emma had a little more backbone at some points but if she had that would have let the cat out of the bag too soon and it all added to the tension for me as a reader.I love Kirsty Moseley's books, I always enjoy the ones I read and I definitely need to read more.AVAILABLE FOR 0.99. Told in first person. leads to HEA. Does not have cheating.

2.5 stars -
I was very frustrated with this book and I only finished it so I can write a proper review and see how things pan out in the end. This is the first book of Kirsty's that I've read so i'm not sure if i'll be reading another. The basic story line was just so unrealistic that I couldn't stop rolling my eyes *CONTAINS SPOILERS*-* A 16 year old gets a job at a reputable and well respected strip club? Of which they allow her to use their 'back rooms' where she gets pregnant...Seriously?! The author then backtracks to say that police do not check the club for underage girls because they're so well 'respected'...!!*I really disliked the female lead (Emma) - At times she even seemed jealous of her own daughter because Carson wanted to get to know Sasha (the daughter) - I really don't agree with women who keep fathers from their children and the fact that Emma kept Sasha from her dad for so long even when she knew Carson was doing well it was just hard to relate to her or feel any compassion. She also came across as stupid, selfish, immature and judgmental. Especially for someone who hates other people judging her she was quick to assume that Carson was a man whore who was also going to rape her -__-*Carson was the male lead however although I had more compassion for him I still couldn't understand why he never tried to date Emma in the 3 years he knew her - instead he would see her in the backroom every week. It was hard to have any attraction for the male lead as he was only 21 and even though he tried to do the right thing when he found out about Sasha it was more like 'aww bless him' rather than 'oh that's hot'.I could go on a bit more but i'll stop there as i'm sure my frustration is evident here - it could have been a really good book!

beautiful story
MY REVIEWThere wasnt anything i didnt like about this book, the unique plot drew me in and held me captive for the duration of the story.Carson Matthews is a hot, sexy, hunk of gorgeousness and hes a MotoGP racing driver to boot. but let me tell you right now he was not the self centered look at me and all my greatness character that you get in most books. This guy has such a big heart and so much respect for others which showed everytime he visited Emma in the club she worked in. the only time Carson showed that he did have a ugly side was further into the story but i guess he could have been justified for his behavior and i did forgive him very quickly (just like Emma)Emma is a wonderful character, she has had some big struggles but has stayed strong and worked a job she truly hates because there is one light in the darkness of her job and that is Carson. The relationship between Carson and Emma is so beautiful, he make her feel worthy at the times they are together even though her job makes her feel less worthy than most. Carson shows her kindness and gentleness. All in all this book made me laugh, love, hate, sob like an idiot and left me with a smile on my face at the end, great piece of emotional writing from Kirsty Moseley.

below par
I was excited to read another one of Kirsty's books, shame my excitement turned into disappointment. The storyline just felt very immature and forced. Carson and Emma's relationship is very dysfunctional, starting as client and lap dancer at the strip club she works at. It then quickly changes gear and is morphed into a forced relationship and then in the last couple of chapters we suddenly have a happily ever after. I know both of them are young, but I just felt their approach to their feelings for one another was exceptionally immature considering they were also parents. I just raced through the ending just to finish the book. There was a lack of chemistry and absolutely no saucy sex scenes.

Love it, definite re-read material
I love Carson and Emma. At times, I hate them but mostly love them. This is a book I can read over and over, never able to get enough of it.The story is lovely: boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, girl keeps secrets, boy finds out, things go wrong.I love it though, my first read if this I was on the edge throughout. The story revolves around people thinking they know best for others, as is often the case in life.
