Really improved the low end power on my 2018 drz400-sm! It does slow the bike down on the top end but it’s worth it if you plan on doing city riding or trail riding.

Part is installed, bike now wheelies a bit easier :) RED LOCKTITE THE SPLINES TO THE SHAFT IF YOU ARE INSTALLING ON A DRZ!! Even with the retaining nut torqued properly with the lock washer thing, the sprocket will move back and forth and possibly damage your engine. Red locktite on the splines is a common solution and works fantastic to solve this problem. Dont worry that its the red stuff, you CAN get it off if you need to.

Buyers beware! The actual product did not match to that of the product's picture description. I was expecting an aftermarket sprocket with "holes" around the countershaft spline area as described in the product page. This is misleading! Even worse, had to wait 2 weeks instead of 2-day Prime delivery that was guaranteed at the time of checkout. Had all my other drivetrain parts come in the mail earlier and were all ordered at the same time. I purchased a set of Sunstar steel sprockets for one of my dirt bikes a couple of years ago. I have been so satisfied I just bought another set for another one of my dirt bikes.

It's a steel sprocket for my DRZ400, it works well and was a direct replacement for my old 14 tooth.

I will forever use Sunstar sprockets!
