nanoblockGiant Squid

Try this one folks - this is worth it
You can barely see this against a white background, but this is actually one of the more interesting models.Pros;*It is mostly made out of non-standard blocks with some parts rarely used in other models*It looks effective when completely*The main body of the squid is sturdy (some nanoblock kits aren't structurally sound, especially at the 4+ levels of difficulty).*The way this one is done is not a standard for every nanoblock model, so for me this is one of the attractions mostly to it. A lot of the other projects aren't as interesting to build. Really, I won't stress this is so far the most interesting to put together I've tried.Cons;*A lack of standard blocks due to the number of custom ones.*The 200 pieces are mostly 1x1 block big... Or 1x3... Result; its fiddly though its faults mostly falls onto the legs.*After frustrations over the skeleton of the long neck dinosaur model I brought at Waterstones in the highstreet, I was expecting harder... Being both projects are level 4. In reality most of its difficult is in the tentacles and the size of the blocks. Compared to my dinosaur skeleton, which falls apart every time you breath on it... And then again while your trying to build it... This is kind disappointing. Its quite easy.

A Christmas challenge and it certainly is! A bit too fiddly for the very young and elderly. Still not finished it by end of Feb!

Great success
I got this for my daughter's birthday and she bought 3 more sets herself. Really lovely and easier to display than Lego models.
