Spiked Blazing Star (Liatris spicata), Seed Packet, True Native Seed

The soil must of been right for these seeds, they arrive shortly after I ordered them last June. I was able to plant them immediately upon arriving at my house. There was no instruction on the package. I had done some research before hand, and had a pretty good ideal how to plant them. The seeds are small. I planted the seeds in full Iowa sun. I water them 3 times a week, by the end of the 3 rd week, I notice the plants were growing. I kept the weeds down around them, the plants took off. By the end of summer, I had spikes. The plant was back the following year 2015. I will wait to see what 2016 brings. These are a great diversity to a flower bed.

0% germination, under controlled (greenhouse) conditions. My guess is the seeds were not subjected to the cold they most likely need. There were no instructions or information in general on the packaging to indicate proper sowing method, time to germination or that the seeds would need cold conditioning by the purchaser.

I'm a butterfly gardener and bought these to plant 4 the butterflies, most of the seed germinated & they arrived on time.

Save your MONEY. ....they did not produce.
