cool, much better than scrolling for characters
it seemed easy enough to connect. You had to go into the firestick menu and setup to add this to the bluetooth pairing list but once that is done the stick usually finds it quickly out of sleep mode. This is soooo much better than scrolling to spell. It has a separate on/off switch. I only have 2 minor gripes. There is no backlight and the secondary characters are blue and skinny letters on grey buttons. Not the easiest to see. Otherwise, it's good.

INCORRECTLY PICTURED
PICTURE SHOWN INACCURATE - this shows a remote with a keyboard on the back, what I recited is just a small Bluetooth keyboard. There's no buttons on the back. Plain white on one side, keyboard on the other. And the gel cover is twice the size of the remote with a massive gap in the back that might hold a second remote but is not necessary and just makes the gel a complete waste of time.

Need original remote to use this
This remote requires the original fire stick remote for setup and use. It cannot be used as a replacement for the original remote, only as a keyboard to type after using the original remote to navigate.

Missing piece for fireTV experience
Nice keyboard, keys are well separated and don't feel crowded. The silicone cover that comes with it is nice too - with one side for Amazon remote and other for the keyboard.

Keyboard has issues staying paired with nvidia shield. Not to mention the cheap silicone inserts make the remote way too bulky to use comfortably. It seems like a poor design to me, I will be returning it to get something with a better form factor and more user friendly.

It's alright with lightly using daily
Just helps a bit when searching if not wanting to fiddle around with a mouse function on a plain and simple remote control cool add-on function I still don't really need it for more than a few minutes hardly useful but cool to have.
