PowkooMini Sponge Filter Little Aquarium Air Filter Sponge for 1 to 3 Gallon Fish Tank

So far it looks like a great little filter! You can kinda control how much movement you get by raising or lowering it in the aquarium. I like that it mounts on the side of the tank that is pretty nice and also it fit the standard aquarium tubing and the Tetra whisper pump I had laying around. Came promptly, I wasn't terribly impressed by the packaging but that's okay as long as it works good. I haven't plantsd my tank yet but I plan on planting something tall enough to cover up that hardware :) my water has dirt in it so we will see jusT HOW good this filter is.

Dude, got a small tank?Do you need a filter?Do you hate looking at a big filter?Would you still want to plant under you filter but don’t because of the size of your filter?Do you also want to add a air stone? But didn’t because you don’t want see another item in your tank other than fish?This if your sponge filter.200% HAS to be something smaller than 6 gal.But there isn’t many options for that side tank. That arnt fish store basic crappy looking filters. This is something different. And I love that.

The media could not be loaded.  I love how this attaches to the glass and doesn't sit on the bottom of the tank. I have this in a 5 gallon planted tank so I don't have room on the bottom to plant a sponge filter.So far this is doing an amazing job with keeping the water moving and clean withing the tank. This tank is a c02 tank so it needs just some filtration to keep things happy and my female betta seems happy with her little planted heaven.

Problems with air flow from the start. The main body is two plastic pieces and they are not air tight. Air leaks out of the back and I have had to repair it twice to get it barely going. I won't buy another one, I'll stick to the standard sponge filter.It got it's two stars only because it's small and very low flow obviously what I needed. And it does function for now.Edited, July 2019. I got tired of this filter and replaced it with a standard sponge filter. I think I was up to repair #4 and I still couldn't get the air leak to stop. Then it was whistling through the hole in the back. Obviously a deal breaker.Maybe you will have better luck than I did.

Broke a few weeks after purchasing. Other than that I will probably get another to see if it was just my luck or if they are poorly made.

It just doesn't work and it's not due to any defect or damage but because its designed terribly. It bubbles madly but doesnt create any water movement beyond agitating the water in its immediate area. The sponge doesnt pull anything to it either it just doesn't work.

loved this goblin when i first got it, was amazing for my 2 gallon shallow shrimp tank; but after about 2 weeks the plastic started to crack for unknown reasons. Its for your best interest to make your own out of PVC or similar tubing material, stop relying on this cheap plastic!

The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for something small for my 2.5 gal tank. I just installed it, i will make updates if needs to be.For the moment, its great! I took the video right after i installed it with the hygger air pump and the water was a but blurry. All i have inside for now are two snails. In a matter of few hours, the water is crystal clear! I did not have problems with the succion cup for the moment, and i was quite glad to get a black one instead than a green one like in the pictures of the item, much less noticable. It is pretty well hidden behind my anubia, so it does not destroy the vibe im having there, while making the tank filtered (and safe due to being a sponge filter) for the future shrimps that will come in soonly!

I bought this tiny sponge filter for a small quarantine tank. I was skeptical since it is so small, but it does a great job. I am running this with an air control lever, otherwise it would actually be too strong for the little 3 gallon tank! I would buy again. I would give this sponge filter five stars, if there were replacement sponges available for it.

Del tamaño que lo ocupaba, es pequeño para el tazón donde tengo unas gambas y caracoles. Solo agregue una llave para controlar el flujo de aire y así que también no sea tan turbulento en el pequeño estanque.
