Kinetic Sand 6047182 Colour Bag Green 2lb

After much moaning and begging our children, 5 and 7years of age, convinced us to buy some kinetic sand. We didn’t see the point at first and thought it was only for 3-year olds. But they have been playing with it a lot. And frankly it’s a good quality, very entertaining product. So I’m happy not to have gone for the smallest quantity. And might actually buy some more. + Nice quantity and good for money; this bag was double the price of the smaller bags but contains 3x to 4x as much kinectic sand + Excellent qualities; molds well, doesn’t stick, doesn’t dry out soon + Comes in a handy resealable bag + not just for the youngest children, older children can’t stop playing with it either. While it can be relaxing for adults as well to let the sand slip to your hands. - Requires some kneading on first use, but loosens up afterward - Created a slippery situation when dropped on our floor - Bag itself is only half full - Though easily picked up, the play area can still get messy. So this kinectic sand can be literally recommended to anyone but in particular to families with children in a wide age range.

I am so not a fan of messy play, I hate play dough and painting etc so always avoided sand like the plague. My daughter was gifted a small box of this for Christmas and so I cautiously gave it a whirl. It's incredible! So easy to tidy up, despite the neon colours it doesn't stain, any stray bits that you can't pick up with your fingers hoover easily. I love it. The kids love it because unlike beach sand it's always reliably the perfect consistency to make sandcastles and mould into shapes etc. My 2yr old has the attention of, well a 2yr old, but he will happily spend 30-40mins burying his dinosaurs in this and it's great for those fine motor skills. Overall I totally recommend it but it is expensive. The small 8oz boxes have barely enough for one child to play with, the big 2lb bags I had hoped would be enough for my 2 children to use between them but really they need a bag each in our experience. Also worth investing in some cheap moulds to go with the sand to prolong it's interest.

I help run a toddler group the little ones love this sand . Easy to use no mess . We use a big garden tray so they can make shapes & build. They play happily with this. So many colours

Good product, perfect to play with indoors on a rainy day. Only downside I would say is it’s expensive for how much you get. But my 1 year old loved playing with it, so glad I purchased it

A birthday gift for a 5 yrold. They loved it and gave had hours if fun. A good alternative to ordinary sand. Clean to use and dies not leave dirty marks. Can be used indoors.

I bought this for my toddler, but it is just as addicting for adults. Once you start playing with it it, it's really hard to put down. It's easy to clean too, just roll a small bit into a ball and press it onto any stray pieces. I've had for almost a year now and it's still as soft as the day I got it. I just roll it back in its plastic bag when my child is done playing and zip the bag up.

When using it, the color stains everything… hands, clothes, plastic containers.. i recommend to pick a more neutral color.

Está muy entretenida, fue un regalo para mi hijo y le gusta mucho jugar con la arena, yo también juego y hasta nos relaja. Sí suelta un poco de color y para facilitar limpieza la colocamos en una bandeja. Sí compraría más.

I bought this for my 15month old, but to be honest he wanted no parts of this lol. And it's not that there was anything wrong with it my kid is just incredibly picky when it comes to what he plays with so far. I recently bought all types of sorter toys, building blocks, stem toys and a wooden activity cube. Of those things, what my child would touch, he only played with for less than a minute before throwing it away. Now my broom and mop he won't put down lol. And he does have that one vtech rider toy with all the lights and buttons that he likes to poke at as well. For everything else it's just been a costly experimental process for me. I Bought him a cute little sandbox. Not from here, it was overpriced up here, i bought it from target online, and I saw this sand and the great reviews, I decided instead of regular sand and possible bugs, ssnd fleas and rodents ending up in them (eek), I'll fill this thing up with beautiful kinetic sand. Since I know my child is picky, I decided to just buy the one little bag first. I'm so glad I did that. It would have been a waste because my child would have never played in it. On another note though, I am oddly fascinated by this stuff. I am not a toy person. I don't get any satisfaction out of the idea of playing in sand or playdough. This is not either in my opinion. The feeling of this stuff in your hand is sooo satisfying. It's like a silky, creamy feeling. Not clammy, cold, lifeless and thick like playdough. And not gritty, dry and blah like sand. Surprised that it doesn't feel sticky or slimey or gooey. And when it falls to the floor, touching the sand against the sand that dropped is enough to get it all up. It acys like a magnet with itself. I just kept running my fingers through the stuff. It was like therapy! It's my adult sensory item now lol. This gives me the same satisfaction as I'd have writing with a freshly sharpened pencil, watching a soap cutting video. Sooo satisfying. It just feels so different in my hands than anything else. Bummed my kid didn't do anything with it, the sandbox would have been gorgeous filled with this stuff. I'm going to get one more bag for myself though lol. Guess it'll just be my 30 year old butt playing in the sandbox. He'll come around to it when he's older I suppose. Hopefully I'm willing to share when he does : D
