This reel is everything I expected from diawa smooth fast and strong

I bought this for steelhead float fishing and I’m very happy so far. This reel is bulletproof and yet smooth and easy to operate. The braking system works great, really helps minimize backlashes. I spooled it with 30 lb. braid line, it casts long and accurately. I own other Daiwa spinning reels and have been happy with them, but this bait caster is really a top notch product.

This is the first baitcaster reel that I've bought for myself. I am in love with it! Very easy to dial in and I've only baclashed a few times. Only once did I have a backlash so bad that I had to cut most of the line out. I spooled it with 40lb braid as I use it for flipping and pitching on my heavy rod. Not only has it stood up to the abuse but I've caught some of my biggest bass of the year on it! I started off keeping the breaks relatively high but as I've gotten more comfortable with it, I've backed them off quite a lot. I know it's a little pricey for a beginner reel, but I fish 3 - 4 days a week, so I wanted something that would last. Definitely considering purchasing another in the future.

Bought this reel from LG Outdoors for $136. 47 received it quicker then expected. I like this reel going to use it for flipping, punching, frog fishing with straight braid. Spider on reel is silver not red if that matters to anyone. Also this is a big one and should have been mention Before !!!!!!! you buy the reel. If you use braid to leader THE KNOT MIGHT get stuck in the T-WING!!!! In the instruction they tell you how to get it out. The knot stuck in the T-wing not going to be nothing compared to the backlash your going to have. All that said this is a nice well built reel mostly aluminum. The spool has a deep grove in the middle to tie line to.I use mono backing to braid and like the grove. I really like the outside dial for the 0 to 20 brake settings no going inside the reel while your fishing. Butter smooth Not!!! If you think this is butter smooth pick up a Daiwa steez sv and turn the crank that’s butter smooth. This is more like frozen butter kind of smooth.

I originally had the Lew’s Tournament MP but wasn’t a fan of the composite side plates and it felt too light. I already use daiwa spinning reels which I love so I figured I would try the Tatula out.I gotta say I really like the reel a lot. Its very smooth and rigid. It fits in my hand well and does hold quite a bit of line. It does have all aluminum external parts except for the star drag that is composite which I don’t care for. I ordered an SLP works star drag which is aluminum and fits perfectly. It was about $50 but it’s nice to have a solid aluminum reel. I attached photos and part numbers.The t wing system does prevent your leader knot from entering the reel but if you shorten you leader it’s not a big deal.

I own 6 of these and haven't had one fail on me yet in 5+ years of fishing abuse. They're worth every penny!

very good reel on the paper , fight break is so week im afraid it's not 6kg drag break(star break) I can pull out the braid by my hand easily, so I'm super strong 💪 😂 or my reel is broken .

Daiwa quality, excellent performance, exceeded expectations.

I ordered the last item in inventory and the reel does not work AT ALL!! SO disappointed as I always trust Daiwa reel. I do no know whether the problems came from manufacturer or the seller.
