Core Products Dual Comfort Corpak Hot and Cold Therapy

I am happy that this cold pack is my second Core Products tri-sectional ice pack. my neck, occipital area, shoulders and upper back is thanking Core Products immensely. this product was a recommendation by a fellow Dystonia sufferer. the disorder that makes patients stiff and tremor (what makes Parkinson's patients shake immensely) the heavy weight of the product and ice coldness provides some relief for my chronic pain and stiffness. I ordered two cold packs with Velcro straps. This was a repeat order for me as I already own 6 of these cold packs. I use them for relief of my chronic migraine pain. The two packs arrived separately— a day apart. The first cold pack is not the item I ordered. It does not have the Velcro strap and it was in a different material. The 2nd cold pack arrived and is correct. I am very disappointed with this order. Also, the last cold packs I ordered do not freeze as stiff as my original purchase. The gel inside warms very quickly when I strap it around my head. So I am rotating them back to the freezer throughout the day to get relief. I am returning the incorrect item for a refund. That was the only option offered. I would have preferred a replacement in the correctly ordered item.

I liked this so much I bought two so I can have one in the freezer and one ready to pop in the microwave for alternating hot/cold therapy. I needed a hot/cold pack for my back and shoulder that could cover a larger space and stay put. This works like a charm! The Velcro strap works but you have to put the dark blue fabric side on the outside so it can grab on, which seems a little odd since you’d want that side on your skin otherwise. The light blue side isn’t rough though, kinda soft too, and not plasticky. It’s a bit like thin velveteen.My only real “complaint” is that it takes a while to heat up. I do it in 3, 30-second intervals (kneading between) and then a final 15. Doing it in 10 second ones like the instructions say takes FORever! I also make sure the gel is flat and evenly distributed in the microwave.

Bought for my upper back/shoulder/arm. Great ice pack. It gets very cold so you may want an extra layer between you and it. For me it stays cold longer than the 20+min. The size is great for me but I have a smaller build. It probably is not big enough for someone with wider shoulders. I have also been using it to wrap around my biceps since I'm pretty sure there is an injury there from a recent shoulder dislocation. The product can do heat and cold but I've only been using it for cold. No dripping as it heats up. Resists freezer smell fairly well. And comes with a lifetime warranty if you remember to register it. It has decent weight to it to help keep it in place. I've bought several ice packs Soni can rotate them out while they refreeze and this one has become my favorite.

I really like the Core products. I’m not a fan of these small ones. I think they’re a good size for children or tiny individuals. I think they could be a tad larger and be more effective. The cold doesn’t last very long either.I really like the larger ice packs, they last longer and work better. I’ve had several packs for over 3 years and finally just got these new ones along with a medium size. I would much rather use the medium size, the small ones are too impractical b/c they’re too small.

This is good as an ice pack, but takes forever to heat up to use as a heat pack. If trying to heat it from frozen, it seriously can take up to 5 minutes worth of putting it in for 10 seconds at a time for it to just be barely warm. Even from a fully thawed state, it still takes a few minutes to be warm, definitely not the 20 initial + 10 second interval to be warm like the instructions state.The weight of this is just right to apply a decent amount of pressure and keep it in place when in use. The strap doesn't help a ton, really just helps to have something to help grip and re-adjust as necessary, it is not nearly tight enough to really secure it.

I recently had foot surgery and ordered this ice pack to keep swelling down. It was perfect. It’s design allowed me to comfortably wrap my entire foot and keep in place with the large elastic band which was included. It was so great I ordered a second one so there would always be one ready in the freezer.

Do you not buy this specific product. We have owned four and they have all leaked at the corners of the net cut outs. There is a picture attached. The material that leaks out ruins clothing and anything else that you have been near. I am unable to return these to Amazon for some unknown reason. Too much money for an item that does not work
